2 INVITATION FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Colleagues, It is my great pleasure and privilege to welcome you to attend the 7 th International Congress of the Lebanese Society of Neurology in Beirut, Lebanon on November 27-29, Beirut our beloved capital has always been considered the gate to the Middle East and the bridge between East and West. This annual scientific congress of the Lebanese Society of Neurology has a special and distinguish flavor with the participation of the World Federation of Neurology WFN, the European Academy of Neurology EAN, the French Neurological Society SFN and the Pan-Arab Union of Neurological Societies PAUNS and has an accreditation by the WFN. This Congress is an event that we look forward each year to renew our friendship and share knowledge in neurological advances. The scientific program includes several outstanding sessions that cover important topics in neurology such as Headache, Neuromuscular Disorders, Stroke, Movement Disorders, Dementia, Genetics, Infection, Neuroimmunology, Multiple sclerosis and Epilepsy and also two Workshops on Botulinum toxin and EMG. Thirty-six highly distinguished and world-renowned guest speakers from 16 countries have accepted to participate to the Congress. WFN members and all interested neurologists are encouraged to attend since this meeting is open to all neurologists regardless of their citizenship.
