2 TLED LED Transmitted Light Source The TLED is a stand-alone LED light source that can be used with the transmitted light path of a microscope or in other applications with similar requirements. This basic system consists of an LED mounted on a special black-anodized aluminum heat sink and a controller. The TLED uses a high-output white light LED, making it a suitable light source for contrast methods, including Phase, and Differential Interference Contrast (DIC). We are seeking an individual with strong leadership qualities and a record of accomplishments as a clinician and researcher to head a department with a faculty with broad expertise in both basic and clinical sciences. The Department of Neurology & Neurosciences is a combination of Clinical Neurology and Basic and Clinical Neurosciences Research. The department has ACGME-accredited training programs in Adult and Child Neurology, Vascular Neurology and Neuromuscular Medicine, as well as funded research programs in neural injury, repair and regeneration, demyelinating disease, Parkinson s disease, autism, neuroimmunology, Alzheimer s disease, stroke, neural regulation of energy homeostasis and stress. The department has major academic teaching responsibilities in the Medical School and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. The successful candidate should be a nationally recognized clinician and researcher, with a strong record of clinical and/or basic research funding and a record of successful leadership in academia.
