26 Mandatory criteria Site selection icon Location Site Size Legal Conditions Land Claims Air Transportation Natural Features Cultural Heritage Search area is focused west of Lake Simcoe; east of Highway 400; south of Kempenfelt Bay (encompassing the Barrie annexed lands), and north of the 14 th line of Innisfil (just south of Highway 89) Minimum of 45 acres No prohibitive legislation, easements or other legal limitations No registered Indigenous land claims No limitations for helicopter access and landing pad No designated natural heritage features No cultural heritage or archaeological features The Site Selection Committee, which includes two community representatives, will execute a very transparent, fair and consultative process for selecting a site. Based on very clear, detailed and weighted mandatory and desirable criteria, along with broad community engagement, Team RVH committee will recommend a minimum of two preferred sites to the Capital Planning Committee. 26
