5 Research Area Research Statistical Methodology o Longitudinal Data Analysis and Growth Curve Modeling o Structural Equation Modeling o Integrative Data Analysis o Generalized Mixed Effects Models o Statistical Social Network Analysis Application o Statistical Design and Evaluation of Randomized Clinical Trials and Field Trials Professional Membership Society for Prevention Research, American Statistical Association Ongoing Research Support R01 DA NIDA Prevention Services for Early Drug Abuse Risk: Teachers Implement, Sustain, Adapt PI: Jeanne Poduska 10% 01/01/ /31/2013 Role: USF PI The goal of this project is to understand multi-level contextual factors influencing program implementation and sustainability, and program adaptation. Teachers will be followed for three years as they deliver the Good Behavior Game, a classroom-based behavior management - during one year of Implementation and two years of Sustainability. We will study program adaptation during the 2 years of the Sustainability Stage to understand the adaptations teachers make under usual practice to GBG and the impact on GBG effectiveness. R305A IES Professional Development to Support and Sustain a Classroom Behavior Management Strategy PI: Jeanne Poduska 20% 07/01/ /30/2013 Role: USF PI This 4 years Goal 3 study addresses one of the central challenges in moving research to practice, the need to understand the level of professional development (PD) required for teachers to implement and sustain new program practices so that impact is seen for the initial cohort of students as well as for subsequent cohorts of students. R01DA NIDA Integrative Data Analysis of Gender and Ethnic Differences in MDFT RCTs PI: Paul Greenbaum, Craig Henderson 25% 04/01/ /31/2013 Role: USF PI This project proposes to link measures of substance use, delinquency, and family functioning from 10 randomized controlled trials testing the effectiveness of Multidimensional Family Therapy, an empirically-supported treatment for substance abusing, juvenile-justice-involved youth and test intervention effectiveness, moderation effect and action mechanism. TP1AH HHS/OAH Teen Outreach Program replication project: A randomized control trial of the TOP in 26 non-metropolitan Florida counties PI: Buhi, Eric 10% 02/01/ /31/2015 The goal of this project is to evaluate the impact of the TOP through a randomized control trial (RCT) assessment of immediate, 1-year post-intervention, and longitudinal (2- and 3-year post-intervention) processes and outcomes. Role: Co-I R34MH NIMH Stepped Care for Young Children PI: Alison Salloum 4% 04/01/ /31/2013 This project proposes to develop and test the feasibility of a Stepped Care intervention for young children with posttraumatic stress disorder. Role: Co-I P30DA NIDA Center for Prevention Implementation Methods for Drug Abuse & Sex Risk Behavior PI: Brown Hendricks 07/01/ /31/2016 5

6 The proposed Center for Prevention Implementation Methodology for Drug Abuse and Sexual Risk Behavior is designed to accelerate research through the application and integration of system science methods. Role: Statistical Consultant R01MH NIMH Community Development Teams to Scale-Up MTFC in California PI: Patricia Chamberlain 09/15/ /31/2012 This research proposes to test the effectiveness of the Community Development Team, a theory-driven model to promote the adoption, implementation, and sustainability of one such intervention (Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care; MTFC) in California counties that are not already using MTFC. Role: Statistical Consultant Completed Research Support R01 DA NIDA A Follow-up of Classroom Services to Prevent Drug Use PI: Jeanne Poduska Role: USF PI This R01 is to request a five-year prevention services project to: 1) test the impact, through third grade, of a firstgrade classroom-based intervention in 2 cohorts which are systematic replicates of a 1st cohort, 2) examine the variation in intervention impact to determine what works for which children under which conditions with a specific focus on the responders versus non-responders, and 3) strengthen the test of multi-level model for sustaining practices and going-to-scale. R01NR Influence of Lactation on Postpartum Stress and Immunity PI: Maureen Groer Role: Co-I This revised competing continuation proposal is a request for funding to explore the patterns of immune, endocrine, and inflammatory changes over the postpartum period and to analyze potential relationships between these variables and trajectories as well as the development of postpartum thyroiditis (PPT), a common autoimmune disease of the postpartum. R01 MH40859 NIMH/NIDA Methodology for Mental Health and Drug Abuse Prevention and Early Intervention PI C. Hendricks Brown Role: USF PI This is a competing continuation of the primary R01 that has supported the Prevention Science and Methodology Group (Designs and Analyses for Mental Health Preventive Trials MH40859). R01 MH NIMH Development and Malleability from Childhood to Adulthood PI: Sheppard Kellam Role: Statistician Model developmental course in relevant social fields throughout most of childhood and adolescence, as well as examine the consequences of successfully improving or failing to improve early in life the consequences of successfully improving or failing to improve early in life. H324P IES Evidence-Based Intervention for Severe Behavior Problems: The Prevent-Teach- Reinforce Model PI: Donald Kincaid Role: Statistician This project will evaluate the impact of the Prevent-Teach-Reinforce Model on the severe problem behavior of elementary and middle school students. The project will result in the development of standardized and easily replicable intervention strategies for typical teams working in a range of school environments. H133B NIDRR/CMHS Research and Training Center for Children's Mental Health - Research Study 1: A National Survey of Systems of Care Implementation PI: Paul Greenbaum

7 Role: Statistician This project will collect the first and only national survey data on system of care implementation in a probability sample of counties across the United States. The intent is to document national levels of systems of care implementation in the U.S., examine changes during the course of the grant, and develop an instrument and method that can be continued to be used after the grant has been completed. 7
