1 Detective Tom Roloff Dane County Narcotics Task Force Overview Introduction Street Drug Recognition Our biggest concern(s) Questions Quiz The Dane County Narcotics Task Force is a multi-jurisdictional law enforcement group consisting of Madison Police Department, Dane County Sheriff Office, and University of Wisconsin- Madison Police Department personnel. The Dane County Narcotics Task Force works in conjunction with state and federal agencies as well as providing support to suburban law enforcement agencies county-wide, in an effort to interdict drug trafficking. 1

5 immediate concerns If you suspect someone having ingested cocaine or cocaine base, some of the immediate concerns are cardio related. One of the side affects to cocaine overdose is increased heart rate. This can result in a cardiac emergency. EFFECTS: Onset 20 to 30 minutes. Duration 4-6 hours. Reduced inhibitions, happy & friendly, heightening of all senses (especially touch). MDMA/Ecstasy/Molly Appearance / Packaging Most commonly appears in tablet form. Typically sold loose or in candy bags (i.e. Skittles, M&M bags) Sigs of use MDMA/Ecstasy causes a high that is euphoric and energized. It lasts several hours. Upon the high wearing off, there can be an unusual crash of energy or falling off. 11

Duration 2-3 hours. 13 Hash oil AKA: Hashish oil, Butane Honey Oil, BHO, Wax, Dabs, Liquid cannabis Hash oil is a resinoid obtained by solvents, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and hyperbaric extraction of dried female cannabis flowers THC content of hash oil varies tremendously, since the manufacturers use a random assortment of marijuana and preparation techniques. Dealers sometimes cut hash oils with other oils The 2009 World Drug Reports states THC content as "may exceed 60%". 13

Typically consumed in Styrofoam cups Synthetic Drugs- Marijuana, LSD, Molly & Bath Salts Are being made in China and shipped around the world. It is impossible to differentiate LSD and Molly from synthetic LSD and Molly by sight. Often more potent! Reactions while using these drugs vary Synthetic Marijuana K2, Scooby Snack, Spice, etc 14
