Yasmeen Abutaleb talks about how pill and diet plans promise to help individuals lose their weight in just a few days. Because of these advertisements the weight-loss industry has gain a large amount of money. A few of the weight-loss companies are honest about their product not being healthy for consumer. Abutaleb also talks about the newest fad diets and what the product does to individuals bodies to help there be a weight-loss. This book is a dieting book that suggests to eat whatever readers would like for 5 days strait and then go on a so called fast for two days. For this fast all individuals can consume is 500 calories per day. Taylor also talks about how these fasting diets aren t healthy for the human body and how it is ridiculous that people are so desperate to lose weight that they starve themselves.
