3 Food Safety Resources Meet the Bugs pamphlet Micro-organisms or bugs that cause illness are called pathogens. This pamphlet looks at some of the common pathogens that cause foodborne illness in New Zealand and gives advice on how you can avoid them. Food Safety in the Home - A5 booklet Tips for safe food handling and storage at home. Includes information on barbecue food safety and eating outside. Food Safety in Pregnancy - A5 booklet Pregnant women have lower levels of immunity than usual and may be more at risk of getting diseases carried by food. This booklet offers advice and guidance on what you can do to avoid dangerous food bugs. 4 New Resources Vegetables Made Easy Health Promotion Agency These Vegetables Made Easy flyers show basic storage, preparation and cooking techniques for common vegetables. They will be useful to those running introductory cooking classes, in vegetable co-op boxes and for use in healthy lifestyle programmes. The A4 double-sided flyers include a basic recipe.
