2 Report on Vigilance Awareness Week 2017 Name of the Organization : Container Corporation of India 1. Brief write up Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) is a Navratna PSU under Ministry of Railways engaged in the business of providing logistics solutions to the customers for International as well as Domestic trade. The Corporate Office of the company is located at New Delhi. The company has nation-wide network of 68 multi-modal container terminals that are administered through eight Regional Offices. Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2017 was observed at all offices of CONCOR and also at its wholly owned subsidiaries namely Fresh & Healthy Enterprises Ltd. (FHEL) and CONCOR Air Limited, from 30 th October, 2017 to 4 th November, 2017 with great enthusiasm and zeal. The theme of the Vigilance Awareness Week this year was My Vision Corruption Free India. As such, CONCOR reached out to all sections of the society especially the youth to raise awareness on the need to combat the menace of corruption. Chairman & Managing Director and other senior officers of the company attended the inaugural ceremony organized by the Commission at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 30 th Oct On the same day, Integrity Pledge was administered by the respective Head(s) of the Units to employees at all offices and other stake holders present at various field offices of CONCOR. VAW, this year, was marked by numerous activities/ competitions in schools, colleges, universities, Gram Sabhas, etc. Banners on the need to eradicate corruption were displayed at various offices. Several workshops, seminars, Grievance Redressal Camps were organized involving front line employees, customers and vendors. Essay/slogan Report on VAW CONCOR Page 1 of 47
3 writing and Debate competitions were organised for employees and student community. Brief details are given as below: i. Workshops/Interactive Sessions for employees, customers and other stakeholders: An interactive session was organised on 2 nd Nov with Independent External Monitors (IEMs) of CONCOR on Contract Management, which was attended by CMD, Directors, officer from CVC, senior officers of CONCOR. To make optimum use of technology, all the Regional Offices were connected through video conferencing. During the same event, the award for the Most Vigilant Employee of the Year was presented. 5 A Panel Discussion on observance of rules and procedures for better productivity and quality services to the customers was organized at ICD/Dadri on 31 st Oct Director/Domestic Division and other senior officers attended an interactive session with customers on 2 nd Nov CUSTOMER INTERACTION SESSION AT ICD, DADRI IN THE PRESENCE OF DIRECTOR (DOMESTIC) AND CGM/NORTH CENTRAL REGION WITH EXPORTERS, IMPORTERS, JV-CFSs REPRESENTATIVES, CHAS ETC ON Report on VAW CONCOR Page 4 of 47
6 A Terminal Safety Manual was released by CMD/CONCOR at ICD/Whitefield, Bangalore on 4 th Nov and the same has already been circulated to all terminals and stake holders. During the event, an interactive session was organised which was attended by CMD CONCOR, Regional Head-Southern Region, GGM/Vigilance and other senior officers. RELEASE OF TERMINAL SAFETY MANUAL BY CMD/ CONCOR AT INLAND CONTAINER DEPOT, WHITEFIELD, BENGALURU ON Report on VAW CONCOR Page 5 of 47

Madhusudan Rao, Chief Operations Manager / South Central Railway delivered key note address and interacted with employees of Regional Office/Hyderabad, ICD/Sanathnagar and Domestic Container Terminal/Nagulapalli. EMPLOYEES OF SOUTH CENTRAL REGION OFFICE, ICD/ SANATHNAGAR AND DCT/ NAGULAPALLY INTERACTING WITH SHRI N. MADHUSUDHANA RAO, CHIEF OPERATIONS MANAGER, SOUTH CENTRAL RAILWAY on Domestic Container Terminal, Shalimar (Eastern Region) conducted a sensitization programme for employees on the theme of VAW. Group discussions were organized at Tata Nagar and Balasore Container Terminal(s) involving CONCOR staff, security personnel deputed at the terminal, other employees of contractors and customers present at the terminal. INTERACTIVE SESSION AT CONCOR TERMINAL Customer Meets were organized by Southern Region at offices located at Tondiarpet, Harbour of Madras, Irugur, Tirupur, Vallarpadam and Millavittan. Interactive Session with customers and contractors was organized by North Western Region, Ahmedabad at Regional Office and other terminals. Another session on HR policies was also organized at Regional Office, Ahmedabad. 17 Essay writing Competition on the topic My Vision Corruption Free India was organized at Govt High School, Visakhpatnam. ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION AT QUEEN MARY GOVERNMENT SCHOOL, VISHAKHAPATNAM Terminal Manager/Kolkata (CTKR) visited C.P.C. Remount Road Institution on Issues regarding moral values were shared with students of class 8 & 9 and they were encouraged to give their views on how to make India corruption free. TM/CTKR VISITED CPC REMOUNT ROAD INSTITUTION ON STUDENTS OF CLASS 8 & 9 WERE IMPARTED VALUE OF HONESTY. THEY WERE ALSO ASKED TO HELP MAKE INDIA CORRUPTION FREE. Report on VAW CONCOR Page 16 of 47
18 Interactive session was held at Amingaon Bengali Primary School, Amingaon (Assam) with teachers and students. 20 Eastern Region organized an interactive session at Swami Pragyanand Saraswati Vidyalaya, Howrah, West Bengal. iii. Gram Sabha Inland Container Depot, Amingaon (Assam) orgainsed a Gram Sabha on issues related to corruption at Uparbari Gram Pachayat, Amingaon, Assam. iv. Cultural Programmes The message for combating corruption can be effectively delivered through cultural programmes. Details of some of such events organized by CONCOR under VAW this year are given below: The students of National School of Drama performed a Nukkad Natak on 2 nd Nov before a large gathering that included persons from all walks of life- senior officers of CONCOR and Customs Department, representatives of Trade and other stakeholders at CONCOR s flagship container terminal located at Tughlakabad, New Delhi. This was followed by poetry recitation by the employees of CONCOR and extempore speeches on the theme of VAW by young school students at Tughlakabad that left the audience spell bound. Shalimar Terminal also conducted a sensitization programme on the theme of VAW. 6. Seminar was organized in office at Shalimar, West Bengal. 14. Customer Meet at Southern Regional Office, Tondiarpet, Harbour of Madras in Chennai and Irugur, Tirupur, Milavattan in Tamil Nadu and whitefield, Bengaluru. 15. Interactive session with all employees, mimic and cultural programme on VAW theme was organized which was attended by the employees and students from ethiraj college. 16.
