4 RUOK? Day The second Thursday of September is R U OK? Day. It s a national day of action which aims to prevent suicide by encouraging Australians to connect with someone they care about and help stop little problems turning into big ones. On that day we ask family, friends and colleagues: "Are you OK?"

Day For us, it s The Ramsay Way in action Adds additional value to our company motto People caring for people Ramsay is a provider of mental health services Our national wellness program identifies mental health and wellbeing as a core health promotion activity throughout the year.
6 Ramsay Health Care Wins RUOK? Day Award 17-May-12 Ramsay Health Care has taken out the Australian Human Resources Institute s (AHRI) RUOK? Day Workplace Award for the second year in a row. The winning organisation was announced at the AHRI Diversity Awards in Melbourne on 17 May and Managing Director Chris Rex received the award on behalf of Ramsay Health Care. He said the organisation had been involved in mental health care since 1964 and understood the importance of supporting people with mental health issues. RUOK? Day is one of the key health promotion activities that we undertake as an organisation. For Ramsay Health Care, RUOK? Day is a practical example of People caring for people in action. Last year s RUOK? Day message was: In the time it takes to have a coffee, you can start a conversation that could change a life. To assist with starting this conversation Ramsay Health Care organised Grab & Go reusable cups to be available at each hospital in return for a gold coin donation during last year s RUOK? Day. The Company raised $20,000 for the RUOK? Day Foundation through this initiative which goes towards continuing to provide suicide awareness and intervention programs in schools, universities and workplaces.

Day and the message In the time it takes to have a conversation Provide sites with merchandise that is in keeping with the message Encourage activity on site and enable sites to choose the most relevant activity for their environment Enable site coordinators to own the day on their site Support sites to undertake fundraising as part of the day.
