2 Course Goal This interdisciplinary symposium will focus on the current evidence-based practice and research for the treatment of those with acquired brain injury. It will highlight the neurosurgical and rehabilitative course of a case study and interventions and current research and treatment interventions showing best practice for those patients with traumatic brain injury. Overall Course Objectives 1. The participants will be able to state the different medications used to optimize care for patients with traumatic brain injury. 2. The participants will be able to describe various treatment options for spastic muscle over activity. 3. The participants will be able to state the pathophysiology of severe brain injury, treatments available and possible goals for recovery. 4. The participants will be able to describe the recommendations on how to screen, treat and follow-up with patients who have TBI induced hypopituitarism. Course Completion Requirements 1. To obtain CEU s from this symposium you must be signed in and be in attendance throughout the agenda to receive full CEUs. If you have to leave early or miss any of the content you are responsible to contact the CE provider and then your CEUs will be adapted accordingly and you certificate will be sent to you. No partial CEUs will be offered for Speech Language Pathologists. 2. You will have to complete the post course evaluation.
