2 Date: Wednesday 4 th March 2015 UWA CAREERS FAIR IMPORTANT INFORMATION Time: Venue: Cancellation: Advanced Deliveries: 10:00am 2:00pm Great Court, Hackett Entrance No. 1 The University of Western Australia, Crawley Campus Last day to cancel attendance (must be in writing) Promotional materials must be delivered on the day before the Fair 6 th February th March 2015 On the day bump in (setup) 7:00am to 9:45am 4 th March 2015 Pack-downs: 2:00pm to 4:00pm 4 th March 2015 Contacts: Ryan Whiddett ryan.whiddett@uwa.edu.au Logistics and Event Management Karen Abbott karen.abbott@uwa.edu.au Event Marketing and Sponsorship Fair Day Location The University of Western Australia is located on Stirling Highway in Crawley, 5 minutes drive West of the Perth CBD. The Careers Fair will be held on the Great Court, immediately south of Winthrop Hall and north of Reid Library. On Arrival The Careers Centre helpdesk (large Orange Marquee) will be prominently located on Great Court. Careers Centre volunteers will be on hand at Car Parks 3 and 19 to guide you (see map attached at the end of this document). There will be signage placed around the area on the day also. Please register on arrival (between 7:00am and 9:45am). A Careers Centre staff member will direct you to your stand after you register on the day. Car Parking and travelling to UWA The University of Western Australia has limited parking available on campus and therefore we recommend you arrive by taxi or public transport. Paid parking is available along Hackett Drive and Car Park 23 (corner of Mounts Bay Road and Hackett Drive). The UWA Careers Fair is unable to reserve bays and recommends exhibitors arrive by taxi where possible. The drop off point for Taxi arrivals is the University Club of Western Australia, Hackett Entrance No. 1. The University of Western is serviced by multiple Transperth Bus Services with connections to surrounding suburbs and the Perth CBD. Bus services to UWA are frequent and full timetables can be accessed at Loading/Unloading If you have items to unload from your vehicle, you can do so at the Service Area in Car Park 3 or the Service Area at Car Park 19. A volunteer will be at the unloading area to assist you. Please refer to attached map. Promotional Materials Courier Details Deliveries of bulk literature supplies, portable exhibition stands, and any promotional material can be delivered/couriered to your stand on Oak Lawn from 6:30am on March 4, Careers Fair Day. Your booth will come with signage, 1 table and 2 chairs. Double booth exhibitors have 6m x 3m of space, 2 tables and 4 chairs. Exhibitors are encouraged to bring their own free standing displays. All electrical equipment being used at the Fair will be tagged by our electrical contractor between 7:30am and 9:30am. Whilst every care will be taken, the UWA Careers Centre assumes no responsibility for the safekeeping of the equipment you bring. Heavy Equipment: Due to OSH regulations, please indicate to the UWA Careers Centre the weight of items at time of delivery. Refreshments/Lunch A lunch box and one coffee/tea/smoothie voucher will be provided for each of two representatives (four representatives for double booth exhibitors). Vouchers will be provided to you at arrival and lunch will be delivered by volunteers. Additional lunches will be available for purchase at $22 per person before Wednesday 18 th February via the shopping cart. Cold bottled water will be available continuously throughout the day; please ask an event volunteer if you require. Emergency (On-campus) UWA Security Phone: (24 hours) For Emergency Procedures go to: Power Supply Please note that power has been supplied to those exhibitors who have requested. WiFi Access Please note that there is WiFi Access on Great Court available to exhibitors. Exhibitors who have requested access will be provided the relevant passwords and login details in their on-the-day welcome pack. The Careers Centre assumes no responsibility for the connectivity of Unifi on Great Court. Promotional Materials Courier Details All Careers Centre Staff and Volunteers will be marked by Orange Careers Centre T-Shirts. Please direct any enquiries on the day to one of these people. Presentations Exhibitors who have registered and paid for presentations, these are located in specialised marquees on the Eastern and Western sides of the Great Court. Each venue will have a full screen, projector, speaker and lectern. Presentations are restricted to 30 minutes only and venues have a capacity of 70 students. Pre-fair registrations are being taken via UWA s CareerHub. 3

4 At the end of the Fair Departure Please ensure that there are representatives at your booth for the duration of the Fair (10:00am to 2:00pm) as this is the length of time that is advertised to students. Please ensure all displays and promotional materials are removed before the end of the day as the venue will be packed down after the Fair. Any boxes must be flattened and then left neatly to be tidied up by Careers and Event staff following your departure. Rubbish Removal Please stack empty cardboard boxes and other rubbish neatly for easy removal at the end of the day. If you need rubbish cleared at any point during the Fair, please let a Careers Centre Volunteer know. Evaluation We will send you a link to an online survey via after the Fair which we kindly request you take the time to complete. Your feedback is very important to us.
