2 une Nixon One of Australia s best knon organists, choir trainers, coosers, une Nixon initially obtained her Diloma of Music (Piano) Bachelor of Music (Organ) from Melbourne niversity, Australia. Post-graduate scholarshis enabled further study in London here she became the first oman to receive the ohn Brooke rize for the Choir Training Diloma of the Royal College of Organists. In 1968 she as the inner of the Australian National Organ Coetition, in 197 as aointed Organist Director of Music at St. Paul s Cathedral Melbourne. She is currently on the teaching staff of Melbourne niversity Faculty of Music. une has given numerous recitals at St. Paul s Cathedral at Melbourne Ton Hall. She also has given recitals in London, most recently at Westminster Abbey. Her influence outside the Anglican Church as recognized in 1995 by the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne s aarding her the Percy ones Aard for outsting dedication service given to music for orshi. She as made a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Queens Birthday Honours in 1998 for services to church music. In 1999, the Archbisho of Canterbury conferred on her the Lambeth Degree, Doctor of Music (Cantuar), in 201 she as made Associate of the Royal School of Church Music (ARSCM).
