2 Preparedness Can Be As Easy As 1, 2, 3 Intrductin The Ck Cunty Department f Public Health Serving 125 municipalities in the suburbs f Chicag, the Ck Cunty Department f Public Health (CCDPH) rutinely watches fr patterns f disease, plans fr distributin f vaccines and antibitics t cmmunity clinics, and prvides imprtant infrmatin t the media and public. During an emergency such as a disease utbreak, weather-related disaster r intentinal attack, we will cntinue t d these things, but at a much faster pace, using available lcal, state and federal resurces. In an emergency, CCDPH and its partners will wrk tgether t ensure a crdinated respnse. Partners include: municipal leaders, first respnders (fire, plice, paramedics, physicians and hspitals), schls, businesses, cmmunity-based rganizatins, the Ck Cunty Department f Hmeland Security and Emergency Management, the Illinis Department f Public Health and the Centers fr Disease Cntrl and Preventin. 1 2 Be Aware. CCDPH is the state-certified public health agency fr suburban Ck Cunty; with the exceptin f Evanstn, Skkie, Oak Park and Stickney Twnship. We are currently recruiting vlunteers fr the CCMRC prgram. During times f disaster, we need t wrk tgether t ensure ur citizens are prtected. Vlunteering is a great way t give back t the cmmunity and ptentially learn new skills. We greatly appreciate yur willingness t cnsider vlunteering fr the CCMRC. T jin, please fllw these steps: 1.
