This event is a great way to kick-off the conference with thoughtful networking, as well as learn more about RFT s efforts to establish a strong network of Young Professionals in Florida. 2 9:30 am 10:30 am General Session 1 The State of Recyclables Processing in North America - Panelists Engage and Discuss the Latest Trends and Technology Session Summary: Three presenters, each an industry expert with their own perspective on the recyclables processing industry, will discuss the fluctuating markets, demand for quality, and the changing technology that will shape the future of materials processing. Hear from these recycling professionals that the death of recycling has been greatly exaggerated, and that although the future may look a little different, recycling is here to stay. 10:30 am 11:00 am AM Networking Break with Exhibitors 11:00 am Noon General Session 2 - The Power of P3 Public Private Partnerships Session Summary P3 has grown in both public and private sectors, showcasing the value of strong collaborations. This session will provide information on the mutual benefits and advantages of embracing successful collaborations in recycling and environmental education. Noon 1:30 pm Networking Luncheon with Exhibitors 1:30 pm 2:30 pm General Session 3 Interactive Session on Municipal Marketing Efforts Session Summary: In this session the audience will be asked to put together a Marketing Plan for their ReCyclAlity. This session will look at other municipalities literature: books, rack cards, door hangers, bill boards, give-aways, etc. We are asking everyone at the conference to bring a packet with your marketing literature, and put the cost for each piece, by taking the total cost to produce that piece divided by the number produced. Each ReCyclAlity will be given the same budget and they will get to pick from all the literature brought to the conference. We will even build in some costs of making changes to the literature into the budget. This will be a fun and exciting session, everyone will get a chance to look at other municipalities marketing literature and get ideas and municipalities will get a look at how popular their material is! 2:30 am 3:00 pm PM Networking Break with Exhibitors 2:30 pm 4:30 pm Environmental Initiative Programs and Tour(s) Overview: Take an opportunity to hear talks on sustainable programs as well as attend an environmental tour from where you play to where you stay. *Pre-Registration required, more information to come. 2:30 pm 4:30 pm General Session 4 - Florida Recycling Coordinator and Multi-Stakeholder Workshop Session Summary Calling all Recycling Coordinators and Professionals. This session aims to provide education and information on the County Annual Solid Waste Management Reports, Public Sector Recycling Reports, and the Recycle Florida Today, Inc Annual Conference and Exhibition Tentative Agenda 2

3 Recovered Materials Dealer Reporting Program. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in an open forum dialogue session facilitated to discuss the current status and future of recycling and integrated solid waste management here in Florida. In this interactive session attendees will learn how to develop and implement an effective communications plan on a limited budget. Organics make up a significant amount of the State s waste stream and needs to be recovered and recycled at much higher levels for the State of Florida to meet its 75% Recycling Goal. Please assist the FDEP in its efforts to develop a strategic plan to accomplish this.
