3 Fourth Annual Contemporary Multidisciplinary Cardiovascular Medicine A Disease-Based Learning Experience for the Practitioner Course Description: Contemporary Multidisciplinary Cardiovascular Medicine is a unique teaching symposium for practicing cardiologists, cardiologists-in-training, physicians, nurses and allied health professionals who care for patients with heart disease. This two-and-a-half day symposium will highlight the latest advances and clinical hot button issues in cardiovascular medicine. Presentations by both Ohio State and invited faculty, comprised of national experts, will provide a comprehensive learning experience. The format of the presentations will include didactic lectures, debates, audience response system, question and answer sessions and clinical case presentations. All of these are designed to encourage discussion and audience participation. The broad range of topics will cover the most important issues in preventive cardiology, heart failure, valvular heart disease, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology and vascular medicine. In its fourth year, Contemporary Multidisciplinary Cardiovascular Medicine is a value-based program, providing attendees with the latest updates in cardiovascular medicine at a reasonable price. Past attendees have said, Excellent topic selection, many topics covered, good faculty and excellent location. Overall: the faculty was able to take the latest state of the art research and present it in a clinically relevant manner. The faculty deserve credit in keeping most of this material to minutes. Will attend next year as a nurse practitioner with critical care team for cardiothoracic/vascular patients. It was very informative. I learned a lot. One of the best programs I have been to. Excellent speakers, excellent variety of pertinent topics that I can relate to and I see these same problems in the course of my practice. Excellent meeting, content, speakers, facility. I would recommend it at home and attend next year. 3
