5 Queen s Award for Voluntary Service We are so happy to have won the Queen s Award for Voluntary Service. Lots of volunteers attended a ceremony to receive the award. Baby Lucas attended the event too. He is our youngest volunteer! 5
6 Our Primary School Programme #MakeADifferenceScotland We have been back visiting Primary Schools in Renfrewshire. We visit pupils in Primary 1 to Primary 7 to talk about disabilities. We talk about bullying and hate crime. 6
7 We talk about the importance of being a good friend! We also talk to Primary 6 and Primary 7 about mental health. Follow our mascot PC Rose on Twitter to keep up to date with the Primary Programme. 7
8 Keep Safe Places There are now over 550 Keep Safe Places all over Scotland. Keep Safe Places are for anyone to go if they need help. You can go to a Keep Safe Place if you are lost and they can give you directions. 8
9 You can go to a Keep Safe Place if you are scared. The staff in the Keep Safe Place can contact someone for you if you have a Keep Safe Card. They can also phone the Emergency Services if you need them. To get a Keep Safe card, please contact us. 9

12 Keep Safe Stars Keep Safe Stars are people who have worked really hard to roll out Keep Safe in their area. Our first Keep Safe Star in this newsletter is PC Rhona Douglas. We don t have a picture of PC Douglas! PC Rhona Douglas has been working hard and 6 Places thanks to her effort there are now 6 Keep Safe in West Lothian. 12
13 The next Keep Safe Star in this newsletter is Sergeant Graeme Stitt. Sergeant Graeme Stitt and a team of Police Officers in Dumfries and Galloway have been working hard. Thanks to their hard work there are now 48 Keep 48 Safe Places in Dumfries & Galloway. 13
14 A Special Mention Happy Retirement! PC Alex Moore has now retired from Police Scotland. PC Alex Moore worked on Keep Safe in East Dunbartonshire and he will be very missed! 14
15 Keep Safe Ambassadors Keep Safe Ambassadors are trained by I Am Me Scotland and Police Scotland on how to report hate crimes, safely. We held a Keep Safe Ambassador training day in Renfrew High School. 20 We trained 20 new Keep Safe Ambassadors. 15

17 Events! We have attended lots of events over the past 2 months. Here are some of our highlights! We went to the Police College and had a stall. We spoke to lots of new Police Officers about Keep Safe. 17
18 The I Am Me CineBus went to the Kirkintilloch Police Station Open Day. It was rainy but great fun! We had a stall at the Paisley Police Station open day. We got to speak with lots of people about Keep Safe! 18
19 The team and Police Officers attended the Independent Living event in the SEC. It was very busy and we spoke with hundreds of people about Keep Safe! 19
20 Funding Help! We need your help with funding. Keep Safe is not funded and we rely on grants, good will, and fundraising to keep it going! 20
21 If you would like to have a donation tin in your shop or business, let us know. If you would like to host a fundraising day like a coffee morning or a dress as you please, let us know. We have a poster that you can print off to encourage people to fundraise! It is on the next page. 21
