3 Let s Celebrate with ALL who have a September Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES TO YOU! OUTREACH: Happy September and Happy Back to School to all you moms out there! My name is Cari Tedesco and I am the new outreach coordinator for the women s club for the year. We will be collecting items at every luncheon to distribute to an organization every month. This month, we ve decided to collect school supplies for the Downtown Rescue Mission. The downtown rescue mission is an organization here in town that has a 4 ways to help the homeless and needy here in town. They provide emergency services, for those who are homeless and can t find a place to sleep for the night; children included with their moms. There is a Recovery Program for both men and women, which is a year-long program. Community Outreach is for those who have a roof over their heads, but nothing else. Graduates of the recovery program are assisted with the transitional program at the mission. Needless to say, they are very busy and need the community s help. This month, since there are children at the mission that attend school, we are going to be collecting school supplies for the children staying there. Ages of the children range from pre-kindergarten to 9 th grade and they historically have about children staying there when school resumes session. Below is a list of supplies that are needed: Backpacks (little kids and big kids) Notebooks Pens/pencils Markers/crayons Glue Loose- leaf paper And really anything your children need, the children at the mission need. Thank you for your generosity
