Our 4th annual event will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Bryan Park. The Superhero Heart Run is a family-friendly 5k/2k & fundraiser to support children & families impacted by Congenital Heart Defects (CHD), hosted by Mended Little Hearts of Central Virginia & Heart Heroes. We appreciate your past support of the Superhero Heart Run & look forward to the opportunity to continue working with you on the run! Last year, over 400 caped participants came together to raise over $45,000 for CHD! This year, our goal is to welcome 500 heart families & friends & raise $50,000. Funds raised at this event directly impact the local CHD community in Virginia, as well as each of our organization s missions. In addition to local support meetings & family events, the Central Virginia MLH chapter provides Bravery Bags to University of Virginia Children s Hospital Heart Center & the Children s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, to help families with comfort items & toiletries during a hospital stay.
