2 DETROIT AUTO DEALERS ASSOCIATION CHARITABLE FOUNDATION FUND ABOUT THE FUND Since 1999, the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA) Charitable Foundation Fund has been an important resource for nonprofit organizations serving children and youth. The fund has provided more than $6.1 million to support 154 organizations throughout southeast Michigan with more grants made each year. As a permanently endowed fund at the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, the DADA Charitable Foundation Fund will be here forever, supporting each new generation of kids as they grow and mature. The Detroit Auto Dealers Association, a trade association representing hundreds of automobile dealerships in metropolitan Detroit, founded the Fund. It is supported by proceeds from the annual North American International Auto Show Charity Preview. of the Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan Celebrating 19 Years of Service to Young People of Southeast Michigan Since its inception in 1999, the DADA Charitable Foundation Fund has provided more than $6.1 million to support nonprofit organizations that are improving the lives of children and youth in southeast Michigan. This partnership is unique among auto trade associations nationally a permanent legacy to benefit our region for generations to come. DADA IMPACT BY PROGRAM AREA ABOUT THE GRANTS Grants ranging from $10,000 to are awarded each year to improve the lives of children and youth across a broad range of program areas, including health and human services, the arts, recreation, education and healthy living. Any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in southeast Michigan may apply for a grant. Southeast Michigan is defined as the counties of Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe, Washtenaw, St. Clair and Livingston. Nonprofit organizations that receive support directly from the Charity Preview are ineligible. 5 HOW TO APPLY Potential applicants are encouraged to contact the Community Foundation to discuss their project before submitting a proposal. Call and ask to speak with a program officer. Please consult the DADA page of the Community Foundation website (cfsem.org/dada) for additional information and guidance on the content and supporting materials for your proposal. Grant proposals are due to the Community Foundation by April 15 and awards are announced in September each year.
