In Memory of Peter D. Curry we would like to acknowledge ongoing support for our Club/Walking School Bus. We need VOLUNTEERS September is here and that means, it s back to school. We would like to give THANKS to the Summer Students Ange Felisha their volunteers who provided all the summer time fun for our youth in the community. The breakfast Walking School Bus will be opening up for another year of busy mornings starting Sept. 6th. We are looking for more community help with our Program. If you are interested in a little extra money in your pocket and enjoy early mornings, half awake hungry kids, a good walk to start your day we have just the thing for YOU! 2 Plessis Food Bank Food Bank continues to run on an on-going basis every second Monday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. The schedule for September is Sept. 11th Sept. 25th 12:00-1:00 (Registered Clients) 12:00-1:00 (Registered Clients To register for the Plessis Food Bank you either need to see Debra at the Reource Centre and register permanantly for the Plessis Food Bank or call Winnipeg Harvest yourself every time and register for the Plessis Food Bank. Please bring bags or boxes with you. 3 Youth Advisory Meeting If you are between the ages of 5-17 years old and live here in Housing we would like to have your ideas and direction in developing youth programming in the community. PROGRAMS Counseling Services On-site counselling services will be starting in October. We will be holding the next Youth Advisory Meeting on for women families couples men Walking School bus Program Debbie s Walking School Bus Program starts on Sept. 6th. is served from 7:30-7:50 a.m. every day that there is school. The Walking School Bus leaves the Family Centre for Bernie Wolf Community School about 8:00. The Program is available to all youth living in the Housing community and attending school. The Walking School bus is open to families with children attending Bernie Wolf Community School. Parents MUST register their children before they are able to attend the Program or the supervised Art City Staring again on Sept, 21st. The youth program will run every Thursday from 4-5:30 at the Family Centre. Children 6 years old and older can attend Be kind to each other Children always need to be supervised by parents Please remember to clean up when children are done
