BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGS: WILLOW GROVE November 12 11am 1pm December 10 11am 1pm ROSLYN December 18 11am 1pm FLOURTOWN December pm PRENATAL YOGA $50 (4) 75-minute sessions We highly recommend this class to expectant mothers. Our Prenatal Yoga Classes are taught by an experienced certified Prenatal Yoga instructor. This class is for expectant mothers who are both non-experienced and yoga practitioners. Participants will learn basic poses and movements to build strength, flexibility, breathing awareness and relaxation. All are important to help moms with comfort during the pregnancy and labor. You will learn how to alleviate the discomforts of pregnancy, such as back pain, hip pain, sciatica, heartburn, and swelling. Bring a yoga mat and bottle of water. Our yoga classes are for expectant mothers only. A waiver must be completed by Mom s OB before her first class. Mondays November 5, 12, 19 and 26 December 3, 10 and 17 Thursdays November 1, 8, 15 and 29 December 6, 13 and 20 BABY TALK We are pleased to offer this open-forum support group for moms with newborns through 6 months of age. Our group offers the opportunity to connect with other new parents to discuss common parenting concerns that may include: feeding, sleeping, comforting a newborn, returning to work or being a stay-at-home mom. Moms discuss developmental milestones and can help answer questions for other moms. Our sessions are facilitated by an RN, IBCLC from our Childbirth Education Department. A baby scale provided for weigh-ins at all sessions. November 1, 15 and 29 December 13 MOVING WITH MOMMY AND ME Taught by a certified Yoga/Movement Instructor, this class for moms and babies from age six weeks to pre-crawling, will focus on moms reconnecting to their bodies after birth and bonding with baby through movement and relaxation. It includes yoga-based exercises that will focus on stretching and strengthening the body, building abdominal and core strength, and regaining pelvic floor support. The class will incorporate moving and dancing with baby, breathing and relaxation techniques. What should moms bring to this class: yoga mat, water, blanket and a toy for baby. Wear clothing for easy movement. A Yoga Waiver must be signed by Mom s OB/GYN if she attends the class prior to 9 weeks after delivery. November 7, 14 and 21 December 5, 12 and 19 MOMMIES AND MUNCHKINS This is an evening support group for moms and their babies up to 18 months of age. Moms who return to work may find that this group works with their schedule and offers the support you so often need while balancing parenting, work and home life. You are also welcome to attend this group prior to giving birth to meet other moms. The group is facilitated by an RN, Certified Breastfeeding Counselor from our Childbirth Department who has experience as a working mother. November 13 6:30 7:30pm December 11 6:30 7:30pm 6
