Recvery Husing Presentatin Sharn Fitzgerald, the Directr f Supprtive Husing and Recvery Prgraming, Central City Cncern Recvery Husing Principles and Practice Cmprehensive Slutins Central City Cncern prvides incme and emplyment, integrated healthcare, psitive peer relatinships, and cmprehensive, affrdable husing. There are mre than 1,700 husing units in 22 separate buildings. They have 604 units with Husing First/Lw-barrier husing and 300 scattered site Permanent Supprtive Husing Vuchers. Recvery husing is really abut peple self-initiating fr detx r residential treatment. The primary issue is substance abuse, but they als serve flks with frequent c-ccurring mental health. Husing is ffered in cmmunity (cngregate) supprtive f lifestyle change fr peer supprt. Peer mentr/case manager rati is 1:45-50 (due t funding issues) and there is 24/7 frnt desk supprt. Shrt-term rent assistance is prvided. Access t integrated primary and behaviral healthcare, utpatient treatment and MAT if desired. Recvery cmmunity supprts and fellwship. Supprt in securing permanent husing. They supprt cnsumers with a variety f needs. Sharn shared data frm a survey with 55 Harris clients, 70% f whm said in 2017 that their addictin has gtten in the way f maintaining their husing. Clients wh entered Recvery Husing after detx were 3 times as likely t cmplete Substance Use Disrder treatment, and 10 times as likely t engage in primary care at ur Old Twn Clinic. Malclm and Brandi shared their persnal stries n hw addictin caused challenges in their life paths, and hw they were supprted by Central City Cncern.
