12 Long term strategies to meet the challenges Encourage prayer through new programs, across the Parish Build a community who embraces the teaching of Jesus in contemporary ways Build a community that unites schools, family groups, social justice and new parishioners by acknowledging differences Build relationships with new stakeholders and encourage involvement Maximise the efforts of funds, assets and volunteers to support our vision Emphasis on targeted communication and co-ordination by adopting technology as an aid, maximising resourcing as far as volunteers and funds will allow, and grow relationships beyond our existing boundaries.

15 Future Possibilities Can we continue to rent Parish house or do we need to purchase/build permanent home? Office in Torquay not a good working space do we need to extend current or build new office? To generate income: Rent or sell old Grovedale office Sell land at Anglesea Will a new church be required somewhere in the growth areas? How will one priest manage in the future? Request assistant priest (needs living space which we don t have) Seek to discern men and women deacons from within our people Request a change of boundaries to the Archdiocese?

16 Short term strategies for Communications Identify and access Catholic children where they attend non catholic schools Establish new approaches via digital access Introduce a program to ensure parishioners are welcomed at visiting mass centres Create awareness of all groups across the Parish and generate conversations across groups in support of faith growth Technology Maintain a data base of potential RCIC and RCIA candidates for follow up Establish digital capability (Facebook, Twitter, , web) Use internet to communicate to volunteers and prospects Upgrade equipment to support liturgy Investigate enhanced digital support for administration Resourcing Engage a full time RE co-ordinator across all Parish schools Leverage RE coordinator to support faith and liturgy programs Support volunteer Liturgy resource with RE co-ordinator support

17 Short term strategies for Building and assets Utilise existing assets to support community development Finalise a plan to maximise the existing Parish assets Leverage expert advise across the Parish to enable planning and execution Co-ordination Establish a Parish Education Board to create common understanding across the schools and mass centres Expand relationships Build strategic relationships with parties outside the Parish that will provide expanded liturgy services Build strategic relationships that will generate income to support Parish in being financially viable
