1 Symposium J u n e President's Message It s hard to believe that I will soon be completing my term as SCATA President. I would like to thank President-Elect Sheila Gordon and Secretary/Treasurer Brad Drake for all the hard work they do for our Association. I would also like to thank our last two Presidents Mr. Jerome Raz Razayeski and Mr. Bill Warren for their friendship and guidance. This is always an exciting time for our association, as the scholarship golf tournament and annual symposium are right around the corner. Matt Lyden and our Program Committee continue to work tirelessly in organizing another strong program. In conjunction with our symposium, we will once again host the scholarship golf tournament. Chris Pare and Michelle Futrell along with the rest of the Scholarship Golf Committee have been hard at work in coordinating this year s tournament, which will be held at the Woodlands Golf & Country Club. Please join us for a round of golf and a great time of fun and fellowship for a great cause. I look forward to seeing you in July. Objective- To provide the most current topics and information to educate participants on trends, techniques, and skills that will enhance the quality provided by these healthcare professionals. Program Purpose- The purpose of this event is twofold; first, to provide minimum education for the SC DHEC certification and renewal for all state certified athletic trainers. Second, to provide a myriad of current trends and topics for the SCATA membership and participants. Target Audience- Athletic Trainers Continuing Education Credit- South Carolina Athletic Trainers Association is recognized by the Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers. This program has been approved for a maximum of hours of category A continuing education.
