4 Lugol Life 2% - 10 ml glass ampoule For endoscopy (use one to two ampoules for an esophageal endoscopy): Starting from the cardia, spray the esophagus with up to 20 ml of 2% Lugol solution. For colposcopy (use one ampoule for a colposcopy (Schiller s test)): Swab the cervix with a compress soaked with 10 ml of 2% Lugol solution (Schiller s test). Indications: this solution is indicated for use during endoscopic screening for superficial epidermoid carcinomas of the esophagus and the cervix, by coloration of the non pathological mucosa. The operation can be repeated if necessary. If the coloration is too strong, it can be faded with rinsing. A dilution from 0.2 to 0.4 % is recommended by the SFED (Société Française d Endoscopie Digestive / French Society of Digestive Endoscopy). Indications: indigo carmine highlights the mucosal anomalies (ulceration, fistula, irregular surface) and thus marks the tumour margins when the limits are not clearly visible.
