2 INTRODUCTION As usual, I take upon myself to narrate the activities /events of the team ASCOVIME as you can see below; We arrived the South Region of Cameroon, in a small village called Kienke II, some 20km from the touristic town of Kribi, known for its heavy production of palm nuts and palm oil. During this campaign I had the privilege of working with: The pastors JOHN NCHAMUKONG and MBANWHEI AMOS who sensitised all the patients and also allocated a site for the consultations and surgical operations. Mr. GHODRAT DABIRI, an Iranian architect who living in Strasbourg and very interest by our activities. Young Cameroonian volunteers ZENG ANICET and SERGES OUSMAN The kind NJILLE MBAKA PAULE MURIELLE And the wonderful team of students pastors who worked as protocols. During this mission the activities took place in three stages as seen below: Free medical consultations Free surgical operations Sensitization on the most common endemic diseases in the region. In the following write up you will see our work in greater details.

3 On the first day : Departure from the residence of Georges We are using a vehicle that was made available to us free of charge by M. ANABA MVOGO and part of the fuel was donated by M. BAYAOLA BONIFACE Arrival and installation in the village Surgical operations started at 11p.m and stopped at 5a.m

4 On this day the following cases were operated: 3 cases of inguinal hernia 2 cases of inguino scrotal hernia 1 cervical lipoma A total of 6 cases On the Second day : Free medical consultations started at 9 a.m o 97 children o 73 women o 41 men A total of 211 patients

5 Free distribution of drugs At night surgical operations started again 1 plasty of hypertrophic scare 2 inguinal hernias 2 inguino scrotals hernias 1 lipoma 1 cas of varicocele

6 We had a hard time providing beds for the patients after the surgical operations. On the Third day : Visited the patients who were operated upon We dressed the wounds Control of patients that were put on observation during consultations

7 We left the drugs with a doctor who was staying back, to continue the consultations We from Kienke II we visited the LOBE falls and the beach so as to relax

8 We returned to Yaounde.

Nevertheless there is still much to be done concerning drugs, laboratory material, transport and others. I hereby encourage you continue to assist us taking into consideration our short term calendar of activities and also by joining the ASCOVIME group of you country. Thanks for your efforts.
