Instructor's Requirements Program/Discipline Requirements: If HCC Grading Scale A = points per semester hour B = 89-80: 3 points per semester hour C = 79-70: 2 points per semester hour D = 69-60: 1 point per semester hour 59 and below = F IP (In Progress) W(Withdrawn) I (Incomplete) AUD (Audit) IP (In Progress) is given only in certain developmental courses. The student must re-enroll to receive credit. COM (Completed) is given in non-credit and continuing education courses. To compute grade point average (GPA), divide the total grade points by the total number of semester hours attempted. The grades "IP," "COM" and "I" do not affect GPA. Exam #2 Lab exam #1 Exam #2, Lab exam 1 Ex. 8, 9 Week 5 Muscular system: Histology and Physiology; Muscular system: Gross Anatomy Week 6 Functional organization of nervous system; Ex. 10 Exam #3 Week 7 Spinal cord and spinal nerves; Brain and cranial Ex. 11, 12 nerves/integration of nervous system Special senses, Lab final Week 8 Lab final, Lecture Final HCC Grading Scale Total four Lecuture exams will be given for the course (please also refer to the working schedule). Each exam will be multiple choice type of questions. Questions will include knowledge and comprehension questions covering nutritional definitions and terminology. There are some critical thinking type of questions require students carefully review the textbook and combine the concepts of basic common knowledge in Biological field. There will be 2 lab exams to test students ability on hands on experiments and identify the characteristics of anatomy structures at both gross and microscopic levels. Each exam will be 100 points, total 600 points. The average will be 600 divided by 6. Grades will be assigned on the basis of these final averages A = B = 89-80: C = 79-70: D = 69-60:
6 59 and below = F There will be NO extension, No makeup no second try on any of the tests. For the extreme conditions, (the computer down during the test) the makeup test may be allowed. Any make up test the credits will be only 70% of the credit.
