3 An Invitation From Ouachita River Valley Association (ORVA) President, Mike Dumas To Attend ORVA Annual Convention August 23-24, 2016 West Monroe, Louisiana I take this opportunity to invite you to attend the Ouachita River Valley Association s Annual Convention which will be held August 23-24, 2016 at the Hilton Garden Inn/Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Training Facility in West Monroe, Louisiana. The conference theme this year is Economic Development of the Ouachita River Basin. United States Senator Bill Cassidy will serve as the dinner speaker on August 23, Mike Strain, Commissioner of Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry will serve as keynote speaker on Wednesday morning, Col. Mike Derosier, Incoming-Commander, Vicksburg District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will address the conference on Wednesday and U.S. Congressman Ralph Abraham will serve as the luncheon speaker on Wednesday, the 24th respectively. Other notable speakers include John Jones, Senior Vice President, Policy and Government Relations, Centurylink Corp. of Monroe, Shawn Wilson, Secretary Louisiana DOTD, Senator Francis Thompson and Benton McGee, U.S. Geological Service.
