1 ;menúbrains Let's take a break and then carry on! SEPTEMBER Our school, a healthy environment DOWNLOADS PDF DONE! At the beginning of our academic year -, after an enjoyable summer holiday full of fun and adventures, the classrooms spring back to life. A student with a well-balanced diet will always be prepared for the new school schedules feeling vigorous enough to cope with the learning process and sports. We should keep in mind the relevance of a healthy balanced diet to adjust to the rhythm of the new school academic year. Allergies, which are common in our society nowadays, are our main concern. Consequently, the school has implemented certain measures to adapt diet to individual needs for the last few years. Moreover, the school provides first-aid medication to cope with potential problems. brains INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS However, any unnecessary restriction applied to our children s diet, such as a gluten free diet when not medically indicated, restricting pulses or dairy products may cause health problems affecting intestinal flora and lack of trace minerals, which are essential for the wellbeing of our children. A protocol for personal hygiene at school and in the swimming pool has been upgraded to detect and stop the transmission of skin problems. A healthy cardiovascular environment has been implemented in our centre for the health and safety of our school community. There are two defibrillators placed strategically and specialized personnel are available in case of an emergency. Furthermore, we work closely with the school counselors to provide activities related to a healthy life style, sexual education and drug prevention. Year after year our medical team strives to improve and innovate to provide a better service to our students for their health and well being.
