2 Grant Funding NIH/NIMH - 1 R34 MH (PI: M.C. Kempf) 04/01/ /31/2015 Telemedicine to improve depression and adherence in HIV+ women in the rural South. The aim of the study is to test the feasibility and acceptability of a cognitive behavioral therapy intervention delivered via telemedicine in positively impacting depression and HIV care adherence outcomes among HIV-infected women living in the rural South. Role: PI NSF (PI: S. Mennemeyer) 09/01/ /31/2015 A Simulation Model for Understanding Prevention and Treatment of Depression Among HIV+ Women. This project examines the allocation of resources to the treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS and the role of screening and treatment for depression among women living with HIV in shaping this allocation. Role: Co-Investigator NIH - 1U01AI (PI: M.S. Saag, Co-PI: M.C. Kempf, D. Konkle-Parker) 01/01/ /31/2017 UAB-MISS WIHS Cohort. The Women's Interagency HIV Study (WIHS) is a multicenter longitudinal study funded by NIAID, NICHD, NIDA, and NCI to investigate the impact and progression of HIV disease in women. This proposal funds UAB as one of the nationwide sites for the WIHS project. Role: Co-PI Gulf States Health Policy Research Center (PI: M.C.
