1 9.3 BAY COUNTY SYSTEM SUMMARY Bay County has a type 4, E9-1-1 system with two Primary and 4 Secondary PSAPs as follows: PANAMA CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT PRIMARY PSAP Panama City has an E9-1-1 Primary PSAP located at the Panama City Police Department. All law enforcement calls are handled by direct dispatch. Calls for medical services are transferred or relayed to Bay County Emergency Medical Services. Calls for Fire Services are transferred to Bay County Fire Services BAY COUNTY EOC / SHERIFF S DEPARTMENT PRIMARY PSAP Co-located with FIRE and EMS Bay County has a Primary PSAP located at the BAY COUNTY EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER. The Primary houses Bay County FIRE and EMS, and the Bay County SO dispatch is co-located within. All law enforcement calls for the unincorporated areas of the county are direct dispatched. Calls for medical and fire are transferred in house to the appropriate agency. Other law enforcement agency requests are transferred or relayed by telephone or radio TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE LE AND FIRE - Secondary (remote) PSAP Tyndall Air Force Base LE is a secondary PSAP and receives transferred calls from the two primary PSAP s. The FD is their backup should the LE fail, and shall receive transferred calls from the Primary PSAP s PANAMA CITY BEACH POLICE Secondary (remote) PSAP Panama City Beach Police is a Secondary PSAP and receives transferred calls from the two Primary PSAPs LYNN HAVEN POLICE Secondary (remote) PSAP Lynn Haven Police is a Secondary PSAP and receives transferred calls from the two Primary PSAPs.

2 SPRINGFIELD POLICE Secondary (remote) PSAP Springfield Police is a Secondary PSAP and receives transferred calls from the two Primary PSAPs SYSTEM MANAGEMENT The Bay County E9-1-1 system is managed by the Bay County Board of County Commissioners through the County Manager and the E9-1-1 Coordinator. The responsible fiscal agent is the Board of County Commissioners INTERLOCAL AGREEMENTS The Bay County E9-1-1 system has selective routing thereby eliminating central office overlaps with adjoining counties. Therefore, there is no specific requirement for an interlocal agreement.
