We had some new teams this year which made for one of the biggest rosters we ve ever had. And with that came some very close competition..again. If you look at the shoot-off ladders you ll see that in some cases there is less than 2 tenths of a target difference that was the deciding factor if a team moved on. Jackpot Trap and National Trapshooting Day Jackpot Trap will start on September 23rd and continue every Saturday until April. It is a fun way to spend Saturday s when all the other shooting is over with. You don t have to be a big dog to win at this one. There s a good chance that a score in the high 30 s low 40 s will hit the Lewis Class payouts. For registered Trap we have one more event, National Trapshooting Day. 4 Scholarship Award The recipient of this year s MGC Scholarship Award is Ryan Baer. Ryan has been out at the Club for many years, 1st as a competitor for the Apple Valley Trap Team and now he has been employed at MGC for a few years. Ryan will be attending Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska to pursue a career in medicine. If you see Ryan out there, congratulate him for the great job he has done for MGC. The award will be presented at the annual MGC Holiday/Christmas party. This award is totally funded by donations. We will be holding a raffle for some really nice prizes to be given away at the Christmas party. Mark has tickets available for sale now at the front counter.
