2 VISION, MISSION AND VALUES Our Vision Persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder are fu and equa members of their communities. Our Mission To enhance the quaity of ife for persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder by being eaders in: deveoping and providing evidence-based support; and buiding capacity by sharing our knowedge and expertise. Our Vaues We hod these vaues in working with the persons we support, their famiies, staff, funders, community partners, and other stakehoders: Respect: Choice: Integrity: Teamwork: We vaue the dignity and uniqueness of a persons We vaue the right of persons to make informed choices We vaue truthfu, accountabe and ethica interactions We vaue the synergy that comes from working together Continuous Learning: We vaue earning, sharing knowedge and persona growth Kerry s Pace Autism Services has been commited to enhancing the quaity of ife of persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) since We are eaders in deveoping and providing evidence-based supports; and by buiding capacity by sharing our knowedge. As Canada s argest service provider for chidren, youth and aduts with ASD, we serve more than 8,000 peope with ASD and their famiies each year. With the number of individuas with ASD diagnosis growing at an aarming rate each year, the need for more supports and services continues to rise. Through coaborative efforts and a dedicated staff we provide assistance to enabe communities to increase their capacity which has resuted in the growth of services avaiabe to peope with ASD and their famiies. Our Aspirations Over the course of the current strategic period and on through to 2035 we aspire to be: An acknowedged eader in the ASD sector, known for deveoping and deivering best-in-cass services and supports to persons with ASD and their famiies. A nationay recognized authority on providing effective services and supports for persons with ASD and their famiies; sought after to participate in projects, research and earning conferences wordwide; and a go-to resource for those seeking an expert opinion. An organization raising muti-miion doars annuay in order to do more for those we currenty serve and to serve those for whom there is no government funding avaiabe. An empoyer known for supporting its empoyees by providing meaningfu careers that make a difference in the ives of those iving with ASD.
3 Strategic Priority #1 Anticipate and respond to the changing needs of persons iving with ASD so as to provide a comprehensive continuum of service and support. Revitaize our comprehensive support mode by using a hoistic (bio-psycho-socia) approach that fosters independence and ensures quaity of ife. Deveop/enhance processes for persondirected approaches to services and supports. Incorporate measurabe goas into the Person Directed Pans Utiize appropriate assessment toos and ski sets, to determine next steps for increased independence for those we support Impement Heathcare Screening Too across agency for persons supported residence to identify risk factors and to provide physicians with most compete status updates on heath Deveop a too box for OAP assessment in conjunction with regiona partners Impement Quaity of Life (QOL) assessment too Deveop community supports, incuding expansion of respite services, empoyment readiness and ife skis deveopment. Partner within the heathcare sector to better address the changing needs of those with ASD, whether they are chidren, young aduts, or the aging popuation Deveop a program of continuous quaity improvement that wi increase safety, minimize risk and increase satisfaction of persons supported, their famiies and our empoyees. Deveop a baanced scorecard for continuous quaity improvement Anayze serious occurrences, incidents, compaints, a reevant data to determine trends/ patterns across the agency Revise procedure for medication administration and deveop project pan for training ro-out across agency Create new satisfaction surveys for individuas we support for residentia and community programs. Impement consistent OAP objectives and targets across our unique andscape to compy with new Ministry OAP guideines Deveop a map of OAP service and programs avaiabe Deveop a program/identify new funding options for improved services for young aduts Meet with other organizations that have proven success providing residentia and support programs for aging individuas with ASD Incorporate Advance Care Panning to Person Directed Pans Expore ways to teach more ABA skis and principes for aduts at residentia sites. Wednesday Community Lunch Program We have just aunched our QOL too and have reviewed over 60 individuas!
4 Strategic Priority #2 Buid on our stature within the ASD community and further strengthen our sector eadership. Attain accreditation status by one of the accreditation bodies. Be recognized as the coaborative earning eader with partners in the sector Continuay improve our current eve of Ministry of Community and Socia Service compiance. Seect, via RFP process an externa accreditation organization Prepare staff with action pan for accreditation Carry out an externa accreditation process by: evauating our readiness for accreditation Deveop externa eadership management training in course for a managers Deveop training programs that can be offered for our empoyees, as we as externa partners (ASD, Intro to Autism) Deveop project pan for Quaity Assessment Measures (QAM) training/ ro-out across agency for existing and new empoyees Revise the Compaints & Feedback questionnaire on our website Create a Famiy Advisory Committee Deveop mechanisms to engage individuas aged 18+ with ASD for support in job participation and socia skis training Create opportunities for sef-advocates and famiies to have a voice in how our core programs and services grow and deveop. 5 Strategic Priority #3 Enhance our capabiities so that our empoyees are both skied and proud to work at Kerry s Pace and our preferred future hires view us as an empoyer of choice. Deveop and enhance our poicies, procedures and processes so as to attract and retain the best taent. Identify and engage in best practices that deiver on the finaized empoyee vaue proposition and use this as the basis for measuring ongoing empoyee engagement and retention. Deveop a new, meaningfu empoyee vaue proposition that ceary outines what Kerry s Pace offers to empoyees and what is expected in return. Invest in speciaized training for staff as eaders in providing support to individuas with ASD and their famiies.
