Ellenbogen, MD, FACS Dr. Ellenbogen is Professor and Theodore Roberts Endowed Chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. His numerous areas of clinical expertise encompass both pediatric and adult congenital neurological surgery, endoscopic brain surgery, brain tumor surgery and neuro-trauma care. Affiliations of Dr. Ellenbogen include: Director of the UW Medicine Neuroscience Institute Director of the Neurological Surgery Residency Program Founding Co-Director of the Seattle Sports Concussion Program Director of the American Board of Neurological Surgery President of the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons Vice President of the Society of University Neurological Surgeons Past President of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) PEDIATRIC NEUROSURGERY PRESENTERS SCOTT WAIT, MD, is Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Carolinas Medical Center. He completed a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at Le Bonheur Children s Hospital and St. Jude Children s Research Hospital, as well as a skull base, endoscopic, and neuro-oncology fellowship with the Centre for Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery in Sydney, Australia. MARK VAN POPPEL, MD, completed a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at Le Bonheur Children s Hospital and St. Jude Children s Research Hospital. His special interests include adult and pediatric epilepsy, pediatric cerebrovascular disease, pediatric and adult tumors of the brain and spine, and endoscopic procedures for adults and children.
