2 Signage and Wayfinding Plan with Standards and Specifications The purpose of this sign plan is to take the City s brand and apply it through various signs and structures that will provide a welcome at the gateway locations, identification, wayfinding and replace old and outdated signs. Signs in the scope of this project include gateway signs to welcome people to the City of Goshen when entering from primary entry points throughout the City and additional directional signs that will function as wayfinding to primary points of interest or destinations as well as direct and identify the public parking lots, municipal locations, parks and direct people along trails. This provides the City of Goshen with a comprehensive sign plan that includes a set of standards, guidelines and specifications going forward when considering where to place signs and what sign type for each sign location.

70 Notes for Future Bidders Contractor responsible to produce and install all signs. Contractor to submit production and materials artwork and drawings for review and approval before starting. Contractor to work with the City to determine a final size and placement for a sign. Contractor will prepare final site plans to show sign placements with setbacks. Contractor to work with the City to determine the copy for each sign including the destinations to be included on a directional sign. Contractor to stake and mark sign locations then have them verified and approved by the City. Contractor to have all staked and marked sign locations cleared by Mis-Dig (utility clearance). Contractor to secure all necessary sign permits from City and secure approval from INDOT for all signs requiring an INDOT process to be included. Contractor will provide engineering if required. Contractor shall complete all work within ninety (TBD) days after artwork and drawings are approved. New posts should utilize a break-away system for mounting and public safety. Contractor to arrange removal and disposal of existing signs. 67
