Timing the appliation of fungiides to ontrol potato early blight (Alternaria Solani) In multi-loation field trials In Denmark

Overview of early blight in DK 0.4 RDPC Previous Crop Maize Spring Barley Sugar Cane Tritiale Winter Barley Winter Wheat Year
Objetives To evaluate different models to ontrol early blight ompared a standard pratie in multi-loation field trials in Denmark. Should the models perform well in all trial sites, we an reommend the models for use by farmers aross Denmark.

Conlusion Starting fungiide appliation at the onset of first attak an provide suffiient early blight ontrol omparable to standard pratie. Starting the appliation of fungiide 14 days after the onset of symptoms may be too late and thus loss of disease ontrol. The Maturity-based model, Modified-TOMCAST and ombining TOMCAST and Maturity-based model to offer the best ontrol for early blight without yield penalties.
Conlusion (ont d) The effetive early blight ontrol obtained from the Maturity-based model, Modified TOMCAST and TOMCAST+Maturity-based model at all the loations suggest the appliability of suh models in pratie.
