3 Dear Colleagues and Friends of the pancreas, Bucharest PancreaticFest 2015 is a meeting dedicated to pancreatic diseases which puts together two traditionally meetings: EUS Workshop for Pancreatic Pathology and The Annual Course for Pancreatic Diseases. Under this umbrella name we try to join forces of all gastroenterologists, endoscopists and surgeons to improve the care of our patients suffering from pancreatic disorders. This year the meeting comprises the 3 rd Course for Pancreatic Diseases and the 4 th EUS Workshop for Pancreatic Pathology and it will take place on September 11-12, at Crowne Plaza Hotel Bucharest. During the first day, dedicated to EUS Workshop, renowed national and international experts (Peter Vilmann from Copenhagen, Denmark and Erwin Santo from Tel Aviv, Israel) will be able to offer you a high educational program. The EUS Live Demo will be transmitted from The Emergency Military Hospital Carol Davila like in previous years where an enthusiastic team of doctors and nurses coordinated by Mariana Jinga will be

4 engaged in the management of case presentations and live demonstrations. We will focus on teaching EUS from indication to procedure itself. The Workshop is meant both for experienced and less experienced endoscopist. The second day is the Course Day, dedicated to Pancreatic Cancer, Acute and Chronic Pancreatitis. In this year we have the privilege to have in our programme well known pancreatologists from Romania and abroad (Peter Hegyi and Dora Mosztbacher from Szeged, Hungary, Stephan Haas from Stockholm, Sweden and Radu Tutuian from Berne, Switzerland). At the end of the day will be a fruitful dialog between Hungarian and Romanian pancreatologists. We look forward to see many of you participating in the Course and Workshop. 5 Event Info Dates September 11-12th, 2015 Registration Registration can be made online ( or on-site. Click the Register button on the main menu for more details. Certificates of attendance. CME credits The certificates of attendance will be given Saturday, September 12th, at the registration desk. The conference is credited by the Romanian College of Physicians with 12 CME points (address no. 5917/ ). Language The official languages will be Romanian and English. Catering Coffee and lunch breaks will be served at Crowne Plaza Hotel. Accomodation Participants requiring accommodation can contact Mihaela Becherescu at Emma Travel, phone Venue The event will take place at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Bucharest, Romania. Oral presentations will be held in the Conference Room at the hotel. Live demonstrations will be transmitted from the Digestive Endoscopy Unit of the Gastroenterology Clinic at Dr. Carol Davila Central Military Emergency University Hospital. Access during the course and workshop will be based on the badge provided to each participant at registration. Participants are kindly asked to wear their badge at all times during event.
