Working closely with providers and end stage renal disease patients, the team is achieving notably improved quality of care. Safety standards are being challenged and benchmark achievements are being realized. With a presence in dialysis facilities, ESRD Network 18 fosters patient and family involvement to improve quality of care within dialysis centers, inducing better accountability and patient care outcomes. However, those waiting for a kidney from a deceased donor may wait up to 10 years for a transplant because donor organs are very limited - especially kidneys. Our mission is to promote awareness and education about living kidney donation and transplantation. If you are thinking about becoming a kidney donor or considering a living donor kidney transplant, please visit us at the UCLA Kidney Event where a team of physicians, surgeons, transplant coordinators, kidney donors and recipients will be available to help guide and educate you about the process of kidney transplant and living donation. Now six years later, Basia continues to give to our kidney disease community by donating her time and sharing her beautiful story. He has emceed multiple charity events, including The Penn State Dance Marathon and multiple Movember.com events. He runs his own talk show on his YouTube channel called Between The Sheets and you can see him perform all over Los Angeles and the country. Josh is extremely excited to be the emcee for the UCLA Kidney Fair for the second time. He brags to be the extremely handsome guy talking the entire time trying to read numbers for the 219 raffle prizes so many people were so generous to donate. Amongst other things, he claims to be a huge fan of kidneys and all that they do.
