The weightings were determined y converting volume proportions sed on point counts (modes) to weight proportions. Normliztion to 1 ctions yielded the ulk composition in tomic proportions. Modes were normlized to 1% fter excluding ccessory phses (oxides, tourmline, ptite, nd zircon) s these were not considered to e prt of the rective ssemlge. ulk compositions entered into THERIK DOMINO excluded Ti ecuse the thermodynmic dtse used in this study (tcd55c2d) lcks dt for the Ti ering components of the rective ssemlge (e.g., Ti muscovite). Thus, the system considered for the ulk composition ws Si l Fe 2+ Mg Mn K N C O H. Excess H 2 O ws dded. WHITE MIC SOLID SOLUTION SSUMPTIONS In the THERIK DOMINO dtse tcd55c2d, the white mic (PHNG) solid solution model ws modified to exclude the phengitic components (celdonite nd Fe celdonite) nd include mrgrite so tht the results would e comptile with mic model 16 in the GIS dtse SPC27. To descrie non idelity in oth mrgrite muscovite nd mrgriteprgonite solid solutions in the dtse tcd55c2d, Mrgules prmeters of W H =4, (J), W S = (J/K) nd W V = (J/r) were used. This llowed K to enter mrgrite nd C to enter muscovite in minute quntities. The mic ctivity model lso incorported the V i vlues from Coggon nd Hollnd (22) (.37 for N nd C, nd.67 for K). Mic model 16 in the GIS dtse SPC27 is n idel K N C model, wheres the mic model used in THERIK DOMINO is non idel. In considering the implictions of the different ssumptions for clculting PT pths, we note tht with regrd to differentil thermodynmic clcultions sed on the Gis phse rule, ctivity coefficients pper to hve little discernile effect (Sper nd Selverstone, 1983). Comprisons of PT pths clculted using idel versus non idel models show tht this lso holds true in differentil thermodynmic clcultions sed on Duhem s theorem.

2 RUN CONDITIONS FOR ELECTRON PROE MICRONLYSIS Minerls were nlyzed with n ccelerting voltge of 15 kv nd em current of 1 n. Grnet trverses used spot size of 1 μm. Mtrix minerls were nlyzed with spot size of 3 5μm. Element mps were generted using n ccelerting voltge of 15 kv nd em current of 25 n.
