Station 1:Base Running Each member of your team will take turns running around the bases. Your time starts when the station master says GO! Be sure to listen for your time as you cross home plate. This must be recorded on your group sheet. Once all the members of your team have run the bases, you need to order you re the times from LEAST TO GREATEST. READY, SET, GO!
Station 2: Monkey Bars When the starter says GO your team needs to cross the monkey bars one person at a time. IF SOMEONE FALLS OFF, THEY MUST GO BACK! Once everyone on your team is across you will be given a graphing problem to solve. Don t forget to record your answer on your score sheet!
Station 2 Graph Question:
Station 3: Soccer Ball Dribble For this station each member of your team must DRIBBLE the soccer ball around the cone and back to the starting point. Once all members have completed the task, you will be given math problem to solve. Don t forget to record your answer on your score sheet!
Station 3: Elapsed Time Question On Monday, a train left Brockton at 8:16 A.M. and arrived in Deming at 3:45 P.M. If there were no stops, how long did the trip take? F 19 hours, 29 minutes G 7 hours, 31 minutes H 7 hours, 29 minutes _ J 5 hours, 31 minutes
Station 4: Standing Broad Jump For this station one member at a time will begin at the starting line and jump as far as they can go. After 1 person jumps another member of the team will measure the length of the jump. YOU WILL MEASURE FROM THE STARTING LINE TO THE BACK OF THE JUMPER S HEELS. The measure should be to the nearest 8 1 of an inch. After all members have jumped and been measured the team will need to add all measurements to get a total distance. *HINT: Your measurements and answer will be written as a mixed number. Ex:
Station 5: Jump Rope When the station master says Go!, one member of the team will begin jumping rope inside the chalk circle. Another member of the team will begin the shape match. The jumper must continue until the matcher yells Done! AND has been checked off by the station master. The jumper then becomes the matcher and another teammate will begin to jump. Once everyone has correctly matched the shapes and names, the station master will initial your score sheet.
Station 6: Sit-Ups For this station you will work in partners. You will need to hold down your partner s feet and count while they do situps. You will be doing sit-ups for 30 seconds. At the end of the 30 seconds, record the number of sit-ups completed and switch places with your partner. (If you have a group of 5, one person will do sit-ups with the station master). Once everyone has completed the sit-ups you must find the range, median and mode using the numbers recorded. Good luck!
Station 7: Jumping Jacks For this station your team will do jumping jacks for thirty seconds. After 30 seconds, you will work together to measure the sides of the shape on the large blacktop. You will be measuring to the nearest centimeter. Ex: 7 cm. Then you must use these measurements to find the area and perimeter of the shape. You must show your work on the score sheet to receive full credit for your answer!
Station 8: Basketball Shoot For this station, each member of the team will be shooting basketballs into the basket. You will each have 30 seconds to shoot as many basketballs as you can. The station master will count the number of baskets made. This number must be recorded for each team member. At the end of the time your team will need to find the mean (average) of the shots made. *You may use a calculator for this step.
