Rickparticipatedinfootballandbasketballallfoursyears.HewenttotheUniversityofDaytonand playedfootballwherehewasamemberofthedivisioniii1980nationalchampionshipteamand DivisionIII1981NationalRunnerYup.RickgraduatedfromUDin1984andbeganhisteachingand coachingcareerinspringfieldohthatfall. RickhastaughtandcoachedatSpringfieldNorthHS,CentervilleHS,LovelandHS,ColerainHSand LakotaEastHS.Forthepastsixyears,RickhasbeentheHeadFootballCoachandanassistant principalatlakotaeasths.in2004,lakotaeastwonthedivisionistatechampionshipandhe wasnamednationalassistantcoachoftheyearbyaflac.in2012,rickwasnamedgmccoachof theyearinfootball. Rickalsobelievesingivingback.WhileatColerainHS,hecreatedacommunityserviceclassthat facilitatedstudents tutoringatelementaryschoolsorworkingfornonyprofitorganizations.for thelastfiveyears,heandhislakotaeastfootballplayershavevolunteeredatthespecialolympics. Rickhasthreewonderfulchildren.Hisson,Jared,isteachingandcoachingfootballatOakHills HS.HisdaughterKatyisaseniorattheUniversityofCincinnatiandisworkingtowardadegreein athletictraining,andhisdaughteremilyisasophomoreattheuniversityofdaytonstudyingprey law.

WiththegreatmathandscienceeducationhereceivedatAHS,Danwentontopursuean engineeringdegreeandlaterconcentratedinfinanceatbusinessschool.dangraduatedfromthe OhioStateUniversitywithaBS,cumlaude,inEngineeringin1986andobtainedanMBAfromthe HarvardBusinessSchoolin1991. DuringandfollowingOhioState,Danheldvarioustechnicallyorientedpositionsincludingdesign engineeringatkodak,operationsmanagementwithowensyillinoisandengineeringandoperations atprocter&gamble.whileatharvard,danworkedinstrategicconsultingwithtowersperrin. UponreturningtoCincinnatiafterbusinessschool,herejoinedP&Gwhereheheldseveral positionsinfinancialanalysisandstrategicplanningforthecompany. Danbeganhisprivateequitycareerin1996andjoinedRiverCitiesCapitalFundsin2001.Hehas beeninvolvedinadiversesetofinvestmentsincludingretailandconsumerproducts,businessand marketingservices,healthcareservices,enterprisesoftwareandsoftwareyasyayservice applications.rivercitiesisinvestingoutofitsfifthfundandhasroughly$500millionunder management.uponthegenerationaltransitionofrivercities,hispartnerselectedhimpresident andmanagingpartnertoassumetheleadershipwithinthefirm.danhasledinvestmentsinmany companiesduringhis20yyearprivateequitycareerandsitsontheboardsofdirectorsof companiesbothlocallyandnationally. Knowinghewantedacareerinmusic,Jamesbeganauditioningforcollegesanduniversities.He wasacceptedintoindianauniversity,cincinnaticonservatoryofmusic,eastmanschoolofmusic andbaldwinwallacecollege(bw).ontheadviceofhisprivateteacher,jameschosewiselyand decidedtoattendbw.hereceivedhisbachelorofmusicin1991andcontinuedhismastersatthe ClevelandInstituteofMusic(1993).Afterschool,JamesleftforMexico,whereheplayedinvarious professionalorchestrasbeforeultimatelyperformingasprincipaltrumpetwiththemexicocity Philharmonic,andthentheGrammyAwardwinningBogotáPhilharmonic.Jamesalsotaughtat YoungstownStateUniversity,theNationalConservatoryinMéxico,andtheNationalConservatory inbogotá,colombia. UponreturningtotheU.S.,JamesacceptedapositionasprofessoroftrumpetattheUniversityof Connecticutandbeganabusysolocareer(heisundermanagementAndesInternational Management).In2007,heacceptedhiscurrentpositionasprofessoroftrumpetattheUniversity ofsouthcarolinaschoolofmusic.asasoloist,jameshasperformedinover30countriesand recorded15cd s,fourofwhichwerenominatedforagrammy. Depressionageparentsexpectedtheirchildrentoworkandthisexpectationmoldedthefamily;all threechildrenarestillworkingtoday. JerryearnedhisBachelorsDegreeandMastersDegreeinEducationattheUniversityofCincinnati. Thiseducationprovidedtheframeworkforhisprofessionalcareer,startingwithteachingspecial needschildrenatmilfordhighschoolbeforemovingtotheforesthillschooldistrictintheearly 1970s.HewentontobecomeaschoolcounseloratAndersonMiddleSchoolin1974andthenon toandersonhs.whenturpinopenedin1976,jerrywenttoturpinasacounselorthere. Inadditiontocounselingstudents,JerryspentmanyhoursinvariousrolesatTurpin driver educationinstructor,summerschoolprincipal,athleticeventworker allinattempttomake Turpinabetterplaceforall.Histrademarkwashisadmirationforstudentperformanceand achievement.jerrypersonallyknowsmanyofthe5,000plusgraduatesandcontinuestopraise theiracademicandcareergrowth. After38yearsofcounselingstudentsatTurpinHS,JerryretiredinAugustof2014.Hespentthe nextfewmonthspursuingavarietyofactivities,includinggivingdrivinglessonstotheforesthills MandarinteacherswhentheyarrivedfromChinabutsoonrealizedhemissedworkingwithhigh schoolyouth.heispresentlyworkingatacharterschoolincincinnati.
