Lit starts at 6:00 pm before AREA and AREA starts at 6:30pm so that only gives me 30 min to sell. Thank you Jeff SUACNA [Jerry C.] What an awesome journey this year has been! It s been pretty cool to see it from this perspective, watching all the subcommittees taking the necessary steps all year to get to June 19th. I want to thank you all of them for their hard work, dedication, and passion for the convention. The twelfth step talks about the principle of steadfastness, and Page5

6 being a part of this committee, I got to witness all of them persevere through personal struggle and show up month after month to put this convention together. It s been inspirational and motivating for me, so thank you for suiting up, showing up, and carrying a message to this addict and others. I want to thank you and the fellowship for entrusting me with this position. I ve learned a lot about patience, letting each subcommittee have their process, letting the convention have its process, letting go, and more importantly, the importance of our message! There were so many beautiful moments over the convention weekend, but there s not enough time or paper to list them. The opening workshop, main speakers, treatment centers, slide show, center pieces, predecessors, fellowshipping, etc., it was all beautiful. It was a loving, laid back convention, thank you. Outreach [JERRY C] Outreached focused on Mesquite this past month. We went to the meetings three out of the four weekends. That area is struggle and needs any all kinds of support. I believe PI/PR put meeting lists in the jail lobby. all efforts are being handled. Mesquite is shutting down their Friday night meeting and adding a Tuesday meeting at 1:30pm. Their Sunday meeting will remain the same. Outreach had their business meeting July 9, 5:00pm at the club. We motioned in the follow schedule: July 10 - Mesquite July 16 Hurricane July 26 - Richfield We have two motions that we will discuss during open forum and our goals are: 1. Contact Cedar City committee to see about workshop 2. Contact Jon in Mesquite about meetings 3. Discuss new meeting location Our next meeting will be Tuesday at %:00pm and location is to be determined. Year 2 of 2 ANNOUNCEMENTS Area / Regional Events Area Secretaries, Please send this survey out to GSR's and Admin, to distribute to their home groups and have members either fill out online or download and send to NAWS. Thank you, Ira Z, RD, Region 51 Greetings from NA World Services, We are excited to announce the launch of the 2015 Membership Survey! Every two years we attempt to gather information about our members, and the time to gather that information is now! Some may wonder why we want this information and how we use it. One of the aims of A Vision for NA Service is that NA is viewed as a viable program of recovery. With members from several countries attending the world convention in Rio de Janeiro, and members around the world participating from their homes, we have an opportunity to demonstrate that we are, indeed, a viable and respected recovery community resource. Presenting ourselves in this way helps us offer hope to Page20

21 others that they, too, can recover. We encourage each member to spread the word of the Membership Survey to their friends. We would like as many members throughout NA worldwide to participate.
