2 United Way Westchester 55 th Anniversary Year For 55 years the United Way of Westchester Putnam has worked to help people in our community become self-sufficient. From providing assistance to those in crisis through United Way s helpline to getting at the root causes of poverty, United Way is there with a multitude of programs. Whether its helping children with reading or providing adults with job training and financial education UWWP works to make our community stronger. To celebrate its 55 th Anniversary, UWWP will hold a series of events all branded with a common these that showcases UWWP s programs and mission.

3 Overview Major Initiatives in Fundraising campaign Give 55 campaign asks for donations in multiples of $55 to UWWP causes: 211, Teach me to Fish etc. Set total Fundraising Goal at a multiple of 55 Brand all events with 55 theme Annual Breakfast Give 55 guests pledge donations of $55 or multiples of Day -55 stories of clients helped by UWWP. Gala Honor Roger Goodell and five significant people who helped shape UWWP since its inception. Non Profit Summit 55 Acts of Kindness campaign.

4 Branding: UWWP Anniversary Logo Thompson & Bender will create an anniversary logo which will be used to brand all materials and events for the 55th Anniversary year. T&B has successfully created logos for other organizations, reflecting their missions and goals.

5 Overview Major Initiatives in Launch a social media campaign to coincide with the Sept. 5 kickoff with hashtag #UWWP55. Create a calendar of posts, blog entries to highlight activities. Encourage other non-profits and partners and media partner Journal News to share. Create dedicated page on UWWP website.

6 Timeline: UWWP Showcase significant milestones with historical timeline Create a timeline of key milestones in UWWP 55-year history. Create traveling exhibit to be displayed in key community settings such as libraries, schools, county office buildings etc. Display timeline on dedicated UWWP website and share on social media.

7 Sponsorships/Partnerships UWWP Recruit The Journal News as a media partner to chronicle the campaign in print, online and on social media using examples and stories. Partner with Nonprofit Westchester and other nonprofits to conduct 55 Acts of Kindness campaign during Giving Tuesday and Acts of Kindness Day and Non-profit Summit.

8 Events: UWWP Brand events with Anniversary theme Brand all significant events throughout the year with #UWWP55 activities Day - Share 55 stories of how United Way has made a difference featuring ALICE, United2Read, Teach Me to Fish; Foster Parent; 211 etc. Annual Breakfast - Give 55 - Giving campaign asking for donations of $55 to reach a goal in multiples of 55.

9 Events: UWWP Brand events with Anniversary theme Non-Profit Summit - Pledge 55: Pledge acts of kindness. Present 55 ways we can make a difference. Create a list of 55 small things people can do to make a difference. Have guests at Non-profit Summit make action pledges on special cards we design and put at each place. Gala Honor 5: Honor five people who have made a difference in the development of UWWP including past board members, employees, directors etc. Devote a special part of the program to recognize 55 unsung heroes - people in the background who have gone unrecognized for their contributions to UWWP.
