On Saturday, April 8, 2017 we held our Spring picnic at Sunset Park. It would have been even nicer, had the wind not started to blow quite hard. But, those in attendance still seemed to have had a very good time and the burgers and hotdogs were cooked to perfection, thanks to Richard Elliot. Tuesday, April 11, 2017 we held another Dine-Out at Metro Pizza Parlor on Flamingo Ave. Our regular monthly General Meeting and Potluck Luncheon was held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Center. It was announced that this would be the last General Meeting to be held at the Center. Starting on May 27, 2017, we will be holding our General Meetings at Joker s Wild, right after our monthly Breakfast. It will be held in the same banquet room where our Breakfast s are being held. The reason for this is because the LBGT Center will no longer be open on Saturdays and it s difficult to find someplace where we can meet at no added cost to us. We re hoping that this arrangement will be agreeable with all our members. We had our monthly Bar Night Out on Wednesday Evening, April 19th at the Garage Bar. On April 22, we again had our monthly breakfast at Joker s Wild Casino. Just want to remind everyone, that our Annual Gathering is being held this month at the Stratosphere Hotel/Casino. Hope to see a lot of you guys showing up and meeting some of our out of town Guests. Don t forget to check out the photo booth and have your pictures taken...with or without props and costumes. The cost is only $5 for three pictures on a 4x6 card.

2 VEGAS BIZ Page 2 President s Column I hope everyone is gearing up for our Western Regional Gathering from May 8th thru May 11th. We have a full schedule for everyone to enjoy. Our Hospitality Suite will be open daily and this year we will be offering a free Continental Breakfast on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Monday evening we will have our Meet and Greet, where everyone can get together while enjoying drinks and snacks. Every day we will have two different seminars to choose from. Some of the great topics this year will include: The Mob Museum, Will Damron s COP OUT, Protecting Yourself from Fraud and Scams, plus an overview of things to see and do, while in Las Vegas. On Tuesday, we will have our private pool party on the roof of the hotel with complimentary sodas and snacks. We will end the event with our Buffet Banquet on the 104th floor of the Tower, with a fantastic view of the Strip and the rest of Las Vegas. If you have not registered yet, you may do so at the door using a credit card. Day passes are also available for those who have limited time to attend. We are once again looking for many volunteers to help us host our 9th annual Western Regional Gathering at the Stratosphere. Eldon Garrett will again be supervising the schedule of all volunteers for the event. There still is time (May 7th deadline) for you to contact Eldon at eldonrik@yahoo.com, if you re serious about volunteering. We will be offering six seminars and a couple of them will be our own Will Damron, speaking about his book, Cop Out and one on The Mob Museum and one on Fraud & Scams. We are excited to have the Gay Owned DMG Photo Booth Rental out of Ventura, California there, to take your pictures for only $5.00 for three, payable to DMG Photo Booth Rental. They will be set up in the Sierra Room, (right next to the Registration Room) on Monday and Tuesday, May 8 & 9, You can have your pictures put on a strip of three photos or have three photos on a 4 x 6 inch card. Or, for an extra fee, you can have which ever photo you like, to be blown up to a 9 X 12, suitable for framing. Many different props will be available if you desire to use them. His wife was on a business trip in New York City and had planned to fly down to meet him the next day. When the man arrived in Florida, he ed his wife to let her know he had arrived, but accidently sent it to the wrong address. Instead of going to his wife, his went to the inbox of a woman whose husband had just passed away. When the grieving widow opened her , she screamed and fainted. Her son rushed into the room and found this message displayed on her computer screen. My darling wife: I just checked in, everything is prepared for your arrival tomorrow.
