1 So you want to volunteer? School Rocks Party Box Contact: Tia Gannon Partners with schools to enrich the lives of children. We focus on the whole child with the thought that without the basic necessities it is difficult to expect a child to be prepared to learn. We also provide items to enrich their learning experience, in an effort to make school a positive experience. The list of items we donate (but not limited to): school supplies, books, games/puzzles, toiletries/personal hygiene items, sports equipment, classroom holiday/reward parties, clothing, socks/underwear, and more! The Dublin Food Pantry a choice pantry set-up, like a grocery store, so clients can shop and select the food they need. It takes dozens of volunteers each week to operate the Pantry and hundreds to run the major food drives and the holiday Harvest of Hope food distribution. Pick-up end-of the day food surpluses from area supermarkets/restaurants Work in kitchen crews to break down large quantities of food & prep food for the shelves Stock shelves Set-up for open pantry hours Assist clients as they register and shop Accept deliveries from Mid-Ohio and wholesalers Sort and stock food from drives Office tasks and data entry/computer tasks School and business drives Assist with major food drives like the Dublin Irish Festival and Mail Carriers Drive Special events like the holiday Harvest of Hope Thanksgiving food distribution Tour pantry visitors (school children, scout groups, civic groups, etc.) The minimum age for volunteering is 16. On a case-by-case basis, younger children may volunteer in groups with adults or with adult supervision. Food Pantry Volunteer Smoky Row Brethren Church 7260 Smoky Row Road Columbus, Ohio Each week, Help My Neighbor receives food and commodities donations from local businesses. These goods must be unloaded, sorted, and shelved in the pantry. We are seeking volunteers who would be able to assist our staff in this process. The shifts are on Wednesday from 2-6 p.m., Friday from 12-4 p.m. or Saturdays from 6:30-10:00 a.m. Volunteers can sign up for one or more days.

Worthington Christian Village 165 Highbluffs Boulevard Columbus, Ohio We are currently looking for individuals that are wanting to share their musical talents to our longterm care and assisted living residents. This opportunity is very flexible and would be able to schedule when you are available, however, cannot perform during the following times: 8:00am- 9:00am, 12:00pm-1:00pm, and 5:00pm-6:00pm, and no later than 8:00pm. This opportunity can be ongoing, or every once in a while- and would like the performance to be minutes. If you are interested, please contact us! Mentor with Project Mentor and Big Brothers Big Sister Various schools within Columbus City Schools Columbus, Ohio Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio and Columbus City Schools (CCS) joined forces to better our community one child at a time -- and we need your help! Become a mentor and in just one hour a week you can change a child's life and transform our community. Project Mentor's mission is to empower Columbus City School students for success through strong mentoring relationships. To do it we're recruiting mentors from our community, one for each student who could benefit from having an adult role model in their life. Why Mentor? Mentoring Works. Once a child becomes comfortable with their mentor, a relationship is formed, and the child begins to open up. Whether it's talking about school, friends, home or life the child has a chance to "download" their concerns to a caring adult allowing them to focus more on their schoolwork. And when a child knows a special friend is coming each week there is a greater desire to do well in order to talk about his or her accomplishments -- like great test scores! In just one hour a week you can change the life of a young student which will ultimately affect our entire community. It's fun! You deliver more than just a meal as a Meals on Wheels volunteer. We need volunteers to help with pick-up and delivery of meals in Delaware County. Drivers are eligible for mileage reimbursement and a free meal! Arrival Care Packages US Together, Inc East Dublin Granville Road Columbus, Ohio When refugees arrive, they have no personal care items. We would like to provide them with personal care packages upon arrival. They have so many needs and so little opportunity to provide for themselves, that having these packages for them would mean so much. Suitable for all ages Handmade Items Work Groups Willow Brook at Delaware Run 100 Delaware Crossing Delaware, Ohio Make and donate afghans, blankets, quilts, onesies, sleepers, bibs, booties and other essential baby items to donate to hospitals and other facilities/organizations that provide for needy newborn and premature infants within Ohio. In addition, TLL provides burial layettes for babies that lose the fight for life and need only one outfit and blanket to be snuggled in.

4 Attend a work group meeting and see what kinds of things you can do and how you can help. If you live too far away, mail us your finished items. No meeting in May. Please check our newsletter, website and Facebook page for meeting cancellations and changes. The Tuesday Well Meal The Salvation Army Building 966 E. Main St. Columbus, Ohio A group of 3-5 individuals will provide, prepare and serve a meal for approximately 45 women at the Tuesday Drop In Center for Women who have been sexually trafficked or exploited. The meal includes entree, side dish, and dessert. Please have food already prepared; can heat up in The Salvation Army kitchen. Please arrive by 1:15, and then serve food from 2:00-2:30. You are welcome to join the women for the meal, but not required. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at ahtvolunteer.salvationarmy@gmail.com to sign up to volunteer. One-time sign-ups are great, recurring sign-ups at any interval are welcomed! (monthly, every 6 weeks, quarterly, biannual) Must be 18 and older to participate in serving the meal at the Center. High Street Worthington, Ohio Help the Worthington Thrift Shop in sales, donations, consignments and merchandise stocking. We are a socially responsible all-volunteer Worthington organization operating for over 49 years. Join our team by volunteering at the Shop. Suitable for all ages. The Shop is open Tues.-Fri. from 1:00-4:00 and Saturdays Volunteers arrive at Shop 1/2 hour prior to opening and stay 1/2 hour after closing. Saturdays are divided into two shifts. Participants are encouraged to sign for up a minimum 3 work shifts a month. Training is offered for all volunteers for all volunteer activities.

We help with support for feral cat colonies (t-n-r), low cost spay/neuter resources for pet owners in need, and we rescue and promote adoption. We're in need of reliable, animal loving people to come join us in helping end the animal abuse and neglect in the Columbus area. COZY CAT COTTAGE ADOPTION CENTER 62 Village Pointe Drive Powell, OH Cozy Cat Cottage in Powell is a wonderful place for cat lovers to help out. We have a strict no kill policy and our mission since our doors opened in 1998 is to rescue and find wonderful forever homes for the stray cats and kittens that roam Central Ohio. This is a place to meet people who have a common goal, to reduce the cat over population and to find loving homes for our all of our rescued cats and kittens. We have between feline residents at our facility and we are ALWAYS in need of willing, dedicated, and caring people to help take care of their environment and give

6 them lots of love. Please consider spending a little bit of time with these wonderful kitties!!!!! If you would like to help us in other ways, we always need folks to help assist with fundraisers, participate in adoption events, make crafts, and numerous other ways to help out. And - there is always a critical need for foster homes. There's so much to do when the supply of homeless cats is unending. We sure could use your help!
