9 Membership Renewal Renewals are due on 1st May, so to spread the work load of renewing over 750 members, we will start to take membership renewals at the February meeting. Due to our increasing membership we are able to reduce the membership fee to 12 If you have any alteration to your Gift Aid status, please contact Margot Gale at or inform her by post or at the open meeting.

If you have a reason why you can t get to Group meetings but still wish to be a member. Four nonnotified absences in a row will result in your name being removed from that group and the place open to someone else.

24 Hodsock Priory Wednesday 9 May 2018 Visit Hodsock Priory, near Blyth for a guided tour of the House followed by light luncheon and the opportunity to see the bluebells in flower. 30 Bowls Group Bowl sessions are arranged for all Fridays at 10.30am lasting 2 hours - all members welcome. Numbers are gradually increasing and we had 8 persons attending which meant we had 2 lanes open. However, the other two weekly roll-up sessions are Mondays 12.30pm 2.30pm, and Thursdays 2.30pm 4.30pm. U3A bowlers were invited to just turn up to these sessions, and play with their U3A friends.

47 Games Group A suggestion has been put forward to start up a Games Group for members wanting to play board or card games of all sorts such as Upwords, Sequence, Dominoes and many more. If you are interested in a sociable morning/afternoon out and enjoy playing games why not think about starting up this group. Beeston U3A already have groups such as Canasta, Rummikub and Scrabble. They have asked us to help with 3 projects: engaging the older shopper in the grocery shopping experience, fashion for ladies over 55 and clothing for people living with raynauds, diabetes, or arthritis.
