District Meeting April 14, 2018 Present Risa, Tina, Katie, Laura, Toni C., Kathleen, Kristen, Shelley, Curt, Cam, Michelle, Mark, Joanie, Pam, Freddie, Gage, and Susan. (13 voting.) Opening 12 Steps Kristen 12 Traditions - Risa 12 Concepts - Tina Warranties Katie (7:00) Host New Beginnings, Freddie, et al (group effort)! Introductions Name, Home Group, Position Greeter Toni The name tags are a work in progress. Toni has the supplies but she is trying to figure out how to do temporary vs. regular voting members. They will be ready by the May business meeting. For those of you going to Assembly for the first time, please ask questions of someone who is there don t be left in the dark. Toni took a poll of those in the room who have been a GR and have a Service Sponsor. She then invited new GR s to look around and think about asking someone to be their Service Sponsor. Gage mentioned that anyone here who has been a GR before can answer questions and can be a Service Sponsor. Tina talked about what a Service Sponsor is. You choose someone who has been in the position before you. Feel free to ask Toni, or Freddie, or Gage if you have any questions. (19:00 - These time stamps will be removed from the final copy and the sound recording will be erased.) Secretary s Report Kathleen The sign-in sheet was passed around. The minutes for the last meeting were ed about a week ago. Please contact Kathleen if you did not receive them. There were copies of the contact list on the table. The contact list minus street address information (zip code only) will be given to Tina to be put on the District website. This can be used to find someone in your area if you need to find a roommate or carpool for Assembly. If you have a written report that will be presented at a District meeting, please it to Kathleen so she can incorporate it into her notes and be sure to be accurate with names, dates, numbers, etc. She will scan it into her report then just add notes from comments and questions during the meeting in italics. Word or PDF is fine. Gage described how a group she had been in had an abbreviated contact list with just a few phone numbers and another with complete information for those who continued to come to that meeting for a while. That made it easier to reach out to people in case of a hospitalization or some other time when a friendly contact was needed. Approval of February Minutes: Motion by Shellie; Seconded by Freddie. Unanimously approved.

Treasurer s Report Susan Donations can be given to Susan. Forms were on the table with addresses for donations to the District. There is another brightly colored paper from the N. Florida Area treasurer as well with a form showing what group is donating. It is up to your group how often you contribute, some do it annually, some monthly, etc. Lou, our N. FL Area treasurer sent thank you notes to every district that donated, listing the expenses that it helped with. If you have District expenses, bring the receipts to Susan. Mark F. commented about loan to Discovering Choices to pay for babysitting. The group has repaid that now. They found little interest in using babysitting so members now are volunteering to babysit in the event it is needed. Thanks to the District. District 3 Treasurer's Report April 14, Group contributions through March 31 st are available. Please share with your group treasurer to confirm your donations. Addresses for District 3, North FL Area AFG, and WSO contributions are available. AWSC expenses for DR, AISL, GEM's; 400 AFA's at $280; Love gifts at $17 for North FL Delegate attending WSC; Answering Specialists and Sunshine Communications; printing of the Sharings Newsletter and Where/When; seed money of $50 for March Fun Day. These are all budgeted items for If you have district expenses, as outlined in our 2018 budget, I bring the checkbook to each district meeting, and can reimburse you. Please save and bring your receipts. There are reimbursement forms available on our website at on the member site, and I also have reimbursement forms with me. Shelley asked if Archives has a budget. Yes. 4. Each district meeting, I pass around a yellow box for contributions. This helps pay for district expenses, including the rent and babysitting at each district meeting. You may ask your group for a suggested donation of $3. 5. Bank balance as of March 31, 2018, is $6,534.65; $2,500 is ample reserve. We have set aside $1000 for the AA Florida State Conference when it is hosted here in Jacksonville. Bank statements and monthly reports are available at each district meeting, if anyone would like to view them budget is available. Mark F. commented about loan to Discovering Choices to pay for babysitting. The group has repaid that now. They found little interest in using babysitting so members now are volunteering to babysit in the event it is needed. Thanks to the District. Thank you for trusting me with this service. Thanks to Freddie for her expertise with spreadsheets and double checking our bank balance. Glad I don't have to do this service alone! Susan H. District 3 Treasurer Approval of Treasurer s Report Motion by Curt; Seconded by Risa Unanimously approved.

Literature Distribution Center Curt (2/4, 38:43) (Report attached to .) Curt needs volunteers for every Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:30. Some of the previous volunteers are not showing up. Michelle volunteered to help out a couple of Wednesdays per month over the summer. Susan asked if training was available. Curt said yes, and that it would take all of 35 seconds! Kathleen also volunteered to help out over the summer. Curt brought the new service manuals to the meeting. The separate Groups at Work was not on the website to be ordered. Curt called to inform the World Service Office (WSO). It did show up last week. Curt ordered a case of 150. He is still working on inventory. Curt sent out an with the updated ordering sheet. It can also be used as an Excel spreadsheet online that does the totals for you. If you send it to Curt the Tuesday before the District meeting, he will bring your order to the meeting. He will be working on setting up a Square system once he has his new smartphone. (2/4, 45:03) Freddie asked about the valuation of the entire stock: he has totals but will be working on the dollar amounts. In the past it has run between $5,000 and $7,000. The insurance on that has lapsed. We need to look into obtaining insurance. Curt mentioned using a rented storage unit at another District. We only pay $25/month to the San Marco Club in quarterly payments. Curt is keeping the order sheet (get more from recording) Tina commented that the insurance probably only covered liability for injuries. We need a renter s policy to cover the contents only. We currently have storage at San Marco and Penman. The contents are covered at Penman, they have a rider on their insurance because they have literature, too. Gage says we are not necessarily a renter because we don t have exclusive use of the space. Kristen as AA Liaison volunteers to look into the insurance issue with the San Marco Club. Mark F. asked if the sale prices on the three pieces of literature are still in effect. Curt will honor the sale prices until our current stock is depleted. Drawing Results: February - Serenity Seekers (Risa) March - Friday Mandarin (Michelle) Each received a $10 gift certificate for literature. Vacant positions Alateen Joanie stood for the position and was unanimously voted in. Newsletter Editor Our most recent editor had to resign due to a new job. Outreach to Public/Media Vacant (Mark interim) Shellie is interested in being on the team but cannot be the chair as she has another positon. (2/4, 58:00) Spanish Liaison Vacant (Curt interim) The Spanish group we had in Jacksonville in 2016 has since disbanded. We still have a basket of literature that was won at the 2016 Convention. Alateen - Joanie So far no District has signed up for the Area Roundup. Joanie wants to give posters to guidance counselors in the high schools in the District. She also wants to put signs in the Clay County Mental Health. Outreach material has been given out at the teen courts, to

the mothers of the children. Joanie asked that GR s mention Alateen in their groups to make sure people know it is out there. She mentioned the 211 Abuse hotline number. We have 3 Alateens all in the same family who want to go but the family won t pay. Joanie is asking if the District will sponsor them to go to the Alateen Conference. She will be taking them. Change for Change for Conference - Gage said that we do have money in the budget ($150) to send Joanie to Conference and cover her fees and gas expenses. (Toni asked about the whereabouts of some Alateen literature that she had given to the previous Alateen Chair. Joanie has it and will be going through it.) Kristen stated that her group has been collecting the Change for Change and asked who to give it to and what the cutoff date is. Joanie answered that the money is to go to Assembly in May. The Change for Change deadline is past. Nick, who is handling it, says the Area has already collected all of the money they were looking for so the Districts can give the money to teens as a scholarship. They have already paid back their seed money to the Area. Currently, Gage has counted about $70 in donations and received $12 today. There is more money coming in. (We will deliver the money to Risa to take to VyStar to count.) It is $100 per child for them to go so it would be $300 for three teens from our District to the Alateen Conference. We had budgeted $215 for an Alateen person to go to AWSC (half of $430 budgeted for the year) and did not send anyone. We can gather all of the change and say that is how much scholarship money we have or we can gather all of the change and the District can say we ll cover the difference for all three teens to go. Gage asked anyone with a different option to please throw it out there! Curt made a motion that we gather the collected change and add District money to that to allow the Alateens to go. (Shellie asked that Joanie bring some Alateen materials to the next District meeting to give to the teens who come to her Adult Child group.) Mark F. seconded the motion. Risa asked that we modify the motion to specify a number. Gage stated that it is up to the Group Reps. Joanie states that we only have 5, soon 6, Alateens in the current meeting. Curt felt that we need to support these kids who need scholarship. The Area may offer scholarships if they have enough money. Toni commented that we still have more time to add to the Change for Change. Tina asked if the Area is offering scholarships, too. Gage says the Area will if there is money but there is no guarantee. Nick said, basically, that if a District has money and can send teens, then send them. Currently, Gage has counted about $70 in donations with $300 we can send three teens from our District to the Alateen Conference. Gage suggested we take it to our Groups. We will gather the Change for Change at the next District meeting in May, see how much money we have, and decide then how many teens we can provide with scholarships. Gage tabled the motion for KBDM and deferred it to the next District meeting. (2/4, 1:17:11) Susan asked for verification that we currently have only one Alateen meeting, in Orange Park. We need people to be trained to be AMIASes (Alateen Member in Alateen Service.) Training includes a background check and fingerprinting. The District has money to reimburse this. Contact Joanie with anyone interested. The Alateen meeting is at St. Giles Presbyterian on Foxridge Road near Blanding in Orange Park. The San Marco Alateen meeting is closed; there is no AMIAS there. Joanie will be on the updated contact list on the website. Toni mentioned that a late meeting means a real

time crunch for teens to be able to get home early enough and asked if an earlier meeting could be considered. Group Status: Freddie - New Beginnings Saturday Morning Adult Child in OP. Attendance is increasing despite construction in the area: ~30 people last week. Going great. Joanie Had a problem about one member being upset that the group was not aiming the meeting at a newcomer. People started passing comments and membership in other groups was mentioned. They talked it out with lots of prayer and meditation. Pam - Spiritual Awakenings Sunday Morning Baptist Beaches. Attendance: Pam has started a notebook with District information, schedules, Where & Whens, etc. It was well-received. The group had a sudden death of a longtime member. Susan asked if they are meeting in the same place still, the conference room in the hospital. Yes, they are. On the dates they are not allowed to use the room, (TAS has those dates), people who have shown up often just make an impromptu meeting. Risa Serenity Seekers Attendance: Church where they meet is up for sale. May need to look for a new home in the future. All is well now. Kristen - Arlington Tuesday Night. Attendance is going up, averaging up to 20. Half the group are newer members coming on a regular basis. People are asking about Sponsorship. Kristen is looking for a display rack for pamphlets and asking for ideas. Toni mentioned Tuesday Morning s small rolling suitcase with a hanging shoe bag for pamphlets. Freddie stated that although we don t sell them anymore, AA may still sell a pamphlet rack. Shelley Beaches Saturday Morning Adult Child. Attendance is up. Frequent newcomers, many continue to come. o Fun Day Report The Fun Day was held on March 17, 2018 at the Arlington Methodist Church. Attendance: 49, sign-in donations $135, $200 in raffle, $42 in special donations, 15 different groups represented. (2/4, 1:32:35) Shelley wanted to give special thanks to several members for their assistance: Dottie, Scott, Joe, Pam, Toni, Susan, Carolyn H. and Kathleen. Games played were Step Bingo and Shoe Relay. There were at least 20 raffle baskets and at least ten different print donations from Julia. Risa led us in making bookmarks as love gifts to be sent to our Delegate to share at the World Service Conference. The potluck had tons of food and the guest speaker was Shelley as an Adult Child. It was a good learning experience for her. The only discouraging aspect was a struggle with an old-timer advising aggressively about the way it s always been done. Shelley suggested that a survey be filled out at the end of these events. o Carolyn H. took everything out of the closet in the storage room at Arlington Methodist to organize and pitch what was necessary. Curt One Thursday at a time in OP. Often has newcomers that don t come back much. It has been suggested that when there is a newcomer, the regular members are asked to raise hands if they are qualified for sponsorship. Mark F. - Discovering Choices Thursday Evening June will be their first anniversary. Attendance: 8-13 most weeks. Have had one or two newcomers each meeting in the

past 4-5 weeks. Doing a book study, going through Discovering Choices now. Good group. A comment about San Marco: The Monday Night Beginners Meeting is always in need of help. Infrequent attendance by both beginners and established members. Michelle - Easy Does It - Friday afternoon in Mandarin. Attendance: 5-6 steady, last week The group is new since September. Mostly newcomers or people coming back to Al-Anon, or those from other programs. At the beginning, Michelle was concerned that the number of newcomers was far more than the number of members in recovery but that has improved. She has benefited greatly from watching newcomers growth from their first meeting through working with a sponsor and working the Steps. Doing well. A paper phone list is passed around at each meeting with the invitation to add to it and take a photo of it if desired. It is becoming a living document, with people writing in the margins, etc. and is a convenient way to keep the phone list. (2/4, 1:42:47) Cam - Monday Night Language of the Heart Penman Road. Attendance: steady at 15 a week, newcomers here and there. It is a structured group with Speaker, Steps, and Traditions as regular topics (Traditions less attended!) The Friday night candlelight meeting was full of newcomers and few longtime members. That meeting could use some healthy talk if anyone has some time. Tina Yulee meeting It is a small, healthy group. The members are serious about their own recovery. Katie Tuesday Morning. Attendance: average Pretty healthy. (2/4, 1:45:10) Laura representing Hope for Today - Northside at Christ s Church. Attendance: 5-6 people. Do have newcomers though. They will have two people go to Assembly and District meetings. Some come from Fernandina. District meetings are a good communication media. (2/4, 1:46:20) District Representative - Gage 2018 Convention in September o Register for Convention o Hotel Reservations o Our District was given four workshops to cover. The Sponsorship workshop was not taken at the last meeting. Gage will do that one and would like some help from anyone going. Assembly o Assembly is coming up, the first weekend in May, room reservation cutoff past. Does anyone have space they aren t using or need a room? Joanie & Kristen will go together. o Gage is sending Curt as Alternate District Representative. Currently, we have 3 Growth Enhancement Members (GEMs) going. We have the money. We have 4 budgeted for the year. We could then send just one in October. Toni stated that in the previous panel we occasionally took 3 people to Assembly. The idea was to help them grow in service. o Now you can register on-line & purchase your meal tickets lunch Saturday will be a buffet. There will be to go boxes for those who want to take their buffet lunch in to a Lunch-N-Learn. It is the same meal, just with styrofoam boxes you

can use to transport your meal. There is a breakfast buffet Saturday morning that you can purchase tickets for but none for Sunday morning. The restaurant may have a buffet which will be more expensive and cannot be pre-purchased. There IS a Denney s at the end of the street. Saturday night dinner you are on your own. We can get a group together to go out. o Light Side We are scheduled to perform the 5 minute Light Side skit on Friday night at 7PM. We will be working on it today after the District meeting. o Look at the agenda on Area website Afgarea9.org, Resources tab, Area Meetings, Panel 58, scroll down the page. Contact Gage if you have any trouble locating it. International Convention in Baltimore is coming up - July 6-8. Our Delegate sent an saying that, on the back cover of the FORUM magazine, the WSO accidentally used someone s full name on a photo credit on the back page. They have reached out to that person to apologize. They are asking that we black out that on any FORUM s that we put out. When the first Courage to Change (CTC) came out, the text inside was upside down! Curt mentioned that a CTC was returned that has the print upside down for the second half of the book! These are just reminders that nobody s perfect. (2/4, 1:59:30) Break (2/4, 2:00:00) Chairperson Reports AISL Freddie (3/4, 00:29) AISL Report District 3 District Meeting, April 14, 2018 Carry the Message to Families and Friends of Alcoholics During Alcohol Awareness Month April is Alcohol Awareness Month, a campaign to increase public awareness and understanding of alcoholism and alcohol-related issues. Members can take advantage of this opportunity to raise awareness about the support families can get at local Al-Anon and Alateen meetings. To participate in this public outreach campaign, members can Share and Repost the WSO s social media posts and include #AlcoholAwarenessMonth2018, #Al-Anon and #Alateen. Al-Anon: al-anon.org/18connect Alateen: al-anon.org/18teensconnect Please remember to protect your anonymity on social media by not making comments or using screen names that would reveal your Al-Anon membership. We submitted the SPOP (Special Public Outreach Project) with Clearly Jacksonville to the Area at AWSC (Area World Service Committee). It was approved and I submitted the application to Clearly Jacksonville. It was approved with some changes to the artwork. If anyone sees our billboard can you please take a picture and send it to me? I completed the CORE enrollment form and we have a free exhibit space. I will be at International Convention the week prior to CORE so I will not be involved. I ve asked Julia to work with Linda as Linda has indicated the Fernandina groups are willing to man the space. There will be more information to come on this. The event isn t until July. The Area Public Outreach Coordinator was not able to attend the Area World Service Conference (AWSC). She did send a report and proposal for the 2018 Public Outreach Project. (Freddie made handouts with: her report, the questions she sent to Teresa, the Area Public Outreach Coordinator together with the

responses received, a copy of the recommendation to be submitted to Assembly, and the Area Public Outreach Coordinator s report itself. This handout is attached to the of these minutes.) There was a question asked concerning this material, if this was something the GR s should read and be prepared to vote on. Freddie explained that she was not telling anyone what to do but that it is an option for a Group Rep to take this information back to the group, provide them with the information, and ask them what they think. This is to decide how to spend $4,000 of the Area money which came from the donations that members make at the meetings. This is the proposal for a Public Outreach Project for this year. Based on more information that you might learn at Assembly, you might change your mind. If anyone has questions, contact Freddie and she will tell you or she will discover the answer. (Freddie clarified the difference between the Area public outreach project that is proposed and the District 3 public outreach billboard project that was done through the Area because the area is a nonprofit organization and the District is not.) Shelley asked if it would be possible to obtain flyers or bookmarks like that to leave for Lois s Birthday, for example. Freddie replied that we would first have to obtain WSO s approval to do it as a bookmark to be used in our District, then we would have to pay for printing. That is something we could discuss at a Public Outreach Committee meeting. (3/4, 9:00) Freddie wanted to thank Kristen for giving her contact information for an individual that she can work with AA at events so that both organizations have a presence. DCPS identifies addicted students. They go through a program. At the end of the program they can either go back into the school system or they can go to a special school in the Arlington area. They are looking for people to commit to an Al-Anon group to serve the parents and grandparents of these students. They have two rooms available. For most of these students, custody is with their grandparents. Freddie has a contact you can or call her for more information. The recovery school is at Saint Andrew s Episcopal Church on Lonestar Road. Tina, Shelley and Kristen are interested in being on a team chairperson s of that meeting to be there one week per month. Freddie will find out the date and time information. Please take it to your meetings because this will need more support long-term. (3/4, 16:19) Alternate AISL Julia Not present, no report.) Outreach to Professionals Laura We have 400 pamphlet cases. We need to put labels on the pamphlets. Susan suggested that we do it after the next District meeting. Freddie will bring them. While labeling them, the Public Outreach Committee will be discussing how they will be distributed. We also have pens to go with them. Later we will gather again to put addresses on the envelopes. The goal is to be finished by the end of the year. Laura is working on a mailing list of professionals. Laura explains about two ways of disbursing AFA s: 1.) taking them to the Groups to have members take them to their own office visits and, 2.) mailing them to professionals. Tina explains that Nassau County allows their libraries to have a specified place on their pamphlet trees for AFA s. Toni mentioned that the Pablo Creek Library will allow it once they preview the pamphlet. Susan left some at the Police substation at the Regency Mall. (3/4, 22:20) Outreach to Institutions Tammy Freddie asks if anyone knows about Tammy. She is at One Thursday at a Time in Orange Park. (3/4, 23:11) Telephone Answering Service - Risa April 2018 District 3 Jacksonville, FL Panel 58 The Telephone Answering Service completed the transition from Sunshine Communications to Answering Specialists, Inc., on February 26. All volunteers were provided updated information and instructions. Volunteers without cell phone service, the willingness to share their cell phone numbers, or who didn t respond to text messages during the transition were retired from service and replaced. They have been notified and thanked for their past service. Volunteers began receiving texts on April 1 after a five-week test run by the TAS Chairperson. The new service is operating efficiently, with positive feedback from volunteers so far. Billing issues are still being

worked out but are expected to become more automated going forward. Tina gave feedback as a volunteer. She described her service. Love Gifts Risa At Fun Day everyone wrote a message of thanks to the delegates and words of gratitude and inspiration for the delegates on the back of slogan bookmarks. Freddie shipped out about 140 of them at a total cost of about $17. Risa thanks Freddie and Shelley and all of the volunteers who helped. Webmaster Tina D. She encouraged everyone to go look at the website if you haven t. The minutes from the meetings are on the web and the financial reports. The LDC forms Curt mentioned are there. If you have an event for your meeting or you have a flyer, she can put it up so that everyone in the district can see it and attend your event. Speaker Keeper Michelle Present but had to leave. Group Records/Where & When Katie There is only one change in the Where and When - the Alateen meeting that has closed. She will be making sure the new webmaster is on there and the TAS information. There has been a problem a couple of the groups with the WSO not updating the current mailing address (CMA) for some groups. Joanie says that it happens when they do not fill out the form that is sent to the meeting by the WSO. If it isn t sent back, they will list the meeting as inactive. Newsletter Editor Vacant - Tina asked the GR s to take it to their groups that this position is vacant. She is filling in temporarily. There is a color version on the website. The newsletter is asking you to share your experiences with the 4 th step, taking it for the first time or retaking it. Risa asked for a word of thanks to Tina for training two people now for the newsletter and for all of her help. Freddie mentioned that, in the April representative for New Beginnings is also published in there. Raffle Rita (Kathleen reporting for Rita) Rita will not be able to attend the District meetings because of serious health issues. She does have baskets ready for Assembly and will provide baskets for the next Assembly and for Fun Days. (3/4, 32:38) Pam asked if raffle baskets need to be sent from the groups to Assembly. No, only to Convention. The Raffle Chair sends baskets to both Assemblies and helps out with raffles at Fun Days. Archives Shelley Archives has gone from a mess thrown in a closet to being alphabetically organized, dating from 1973 to the present. Working on a headliner page for each year s book, sort of a table of contents. The Archives is being scanned in right now with the District scanner. Cam noted that some of the information being scanned in has both first and last names. She wondered if she needs to black out the names or if we want to keep complete names and addresses in the archives. Gage commented that if we are just storing it, electronically or paper, then we don t need to redact names as we would if we were putting it out to the public in a non-password-protected format. Freddie suggested doing it now before it is needed. Tina says to reach out to other Districts to see what they do. She also stated that in other experiences with Archives, she has seen that only names of persons who had passed away were not redacted. Freddie suggested starting that with our Area. Gage asked what was going to be done with the digital copies: will they eventually be posted on the web - is it something that would be kept just within our District. Shelley s instructions were just to start scanning in the records she was given. Gage s perspective is, that if we are keeping it within our District and not posting it on the Internet, then it is no different than the paper sitting in

a closet. If we are putting it on a website, in a non-password-protected environment, then we might need to look at redacting names. Gage suggested that the Archives Committee figure out what to do with them. Freddie suggested that it might be easier to take the names off now that, if it is decided to post them in the future, it would be difficult to go back and change everything. Tina suggested contacting other Districts and even Area because our Area Archives has recently been scanned into digital format. There is a whole searchable Archives section. It is in a password-protected site. AA Liaison Kristen She stated that she has many contacts at AA who can be contacted for questions like the Archives issue. Kristen shared the wonderful experience of reaching out to families and friends of alcoholics, letting them know that we exist. (3/4, 41:20) Spanish Liaison Vacant District Representative - Gage Calendar o Fun Day will be moved from July 14 th to the 28th. (The church has a conflict.) o Storage Room with the church. In March, we had to move our Fun Day because the church was having a big clean out. They also cleaned out our closet. We are missing a large coffee pot. They took our raffle box. We are missing two rolls of raffle tickets two rolls of blue, one of red, one of white. We are missing a new package of coffee filters, a sugar container. Toni mentioned the office supplies and supplies for making name tags. The secretary says they will make good on anything that is missing. Our pamphlet holder was on the stage at Fun Day. We will have to ask Carolyn H. where it is. The Legacies posters are there. Gage will ask to put a sign on the door and on the shelves. Shelley suggested a list of the closet contents be posted as well. Discussion followed about what specific items were missing, including the colored rolls of raffle tickets. Also discussed was the location of the key. Gage will talk to the church about making another key. Gage will also take the coffee pots with her and bring them to the next District meeting. (3/4, 52:40) Questions Pam asks if there is anything else being voted on at Assembly besides the SPOP. There is not. Gage will be carrying the raffle baskets from our District. She suggests looking on the Area website at the Assembly tab and reading all of the reports that will be there. At the very least, read all of the reports from the Area Coordinators and the officers. That way you can be ready with any questions. When they give their reports, there will be a limited amount of time for you to come to the mike with questions. Reading the reports ahead of time can help you figure out your questions before the time is up and can help you avoid becoming overwhelmed by all of the information on that page. Next meeting: May 12 th : SOS Fernandina hosting (3/4, 55:11) Closing: The Serenity prayer and the Al-Anon Declaration Recap of Motions Approval of February Minutes: Motion by Shellie; Seconded by Freddie. Motion passed unanimously.

Approval of Treasurer s Report: Motion by Curt; Seconded by Risa. Motion passed unanimously. Voting on Joanie as Alateen Chair: Unanimously elected. Motion to gather the collected change for change and add District money to that to allow the Alateens to go. Motion by Curt. Mark F. seconded. After some discussion, Gage tabled the motion in favor of KBDM and deferred it to the next District meeting. Respectfully submitted, Kathleen Lund District 3 Secretary
