1 Each school term, Northern Integrated Family Violence Services (NIFVS) produces a calendar of family violence support groups run by organisations in the northern metropolitan region. Support groups include: therapeutic groups for women and children, supported playgroups, parenting groups and men's behaviour change groups. Some groups are ongoing and some are shorter term. The calendar includes groups being run in Term 4, 2017, plus groups that will be run later in the year. Please contact the agency conducting the group before referring a service user to ensure that the group is appropriate. For more information on a group, use the contact details provided. The costs of attendance at the groups vary - the majority of the groups have no charge but it is important to check. If you would like to include your group included on the calendar or would like further information about the calendar please contact Women's Health In the North on or info@whin.org.au.

Bright Futures Merri Outreach Support Service Bright Futures run therapeutic creative arts groups for children, in primary and high school, who are supported by homelessness and/or family violence case managers. Bright Futures covers the North and West Metropolitan region and often run groups in partnership with other agencies in the region. 7 Groups For Children and Families Children and Mothers in Mind (CMiM) Children s Protection Society and MOSS CMiM is a 22 week group program designed specifically for mothers and children under four who have experienced family violence, sexual assault or childhood abuse. It is a trauma informed parenting program, which supports mother child relationships and strengthens mothers self-care and stress management skills. One on one support is also provided throughout the program. 9 Groups For Men who use Family Violence Caring Dads Children s Protection Society and Uniting Regen Caring Dads is for fathers who have physically abused, emotionally abused or neglected their children, have exposed their children to domestic violence, or who are deemed to be at high risk for these behaviours.
