2 Sponsor Packet Dental Dash To be held at Highland Rd Community Park April 10, 2016 Thank you for your consideration in donating to the LSU Pre- Dental Society s philanthropy for The Pre- Dental Society wishes to host this run to raise funds to support the efforts of the organization Smile Train. Smile Train s mission is to help the millions of poor children in developing countries who are suffering with unrepaired clefts. The main reason these children have not yet been helped is because they are underprivileged by poverty: this is an economic problem not a medical problem. Some Smile Train programs are in the United States, but most of the programs are in the poorest countries of the world. A cleft palate is a birth defect and often the #1 birth defect in most developing countries. A cleft lip is an opening in the upper lip between a newborn s mouth and nose. A cleft palate is created when the roof of the mouth has a hole in it; babies can be born with a cleft lip or palate or both. We invite you to participate in our vision to better serve our neighbors and change today s poor oral health care into a tomorrow of possibilities and smiles. The following packet details various levels of donation. If you are willing to make a donation to this very worthy cause, please send donations (checks payable to LSU Pre- Dental Society) to LSU Pre- Dental Society at. If you are going to make a donation on behalf of an individual member of the Pre- Dental Society, we ask you to include the name of the person in your donation, so the individual member can be credited with the fundraising. If you are making a donation on behalf of a company or business, we ask you to include in your donation the business card and/or logo representing the business.
