2 To Whom It May Concern: The CoverGirls Committee of the Miami Rescue Mission is seeking sponsorships, donations, and services from supporters like you for our Women on Fire Fashion Show Fundraiser on October 27 th, The Miami Rescue Mission opened its Center for Women and Children in Since then, we have helped thousands of homeless women and children in crisis, providing them with food, clothing, shelter, love, hope, and the Word of God. Our program includes classes on parenting skills, budgeting, and nutrition. Other areas addressed are education, employment skills, computer literacy, conflict resolution, and decision making. There is also a strong focus on developing a positive attitude, communication skills, dependability, honesty, and courtesy. On behalf of the women and children residing at our Miami center, thank you for your consideration in helping us further develop and maintain our special events and programs. 3 Patrice s Story Like many struggling women in Miami-Dade County, Patrice has experienced abuse, poverty, and homelessness. Patrice came to Miami in hopes of finding a better life for her daughter and herself. Unfortunately, she ended up homeless and slept outside a bus station with her daughter. It was hard she says, I really wanted to get some rest. A gentleman who noticed she was homeless helped her get to a local hospital, where the hospital staff directed her to the Miami Rescue Mission, Center for Women and Children. Through our program, Patrice and her daughter receive nourishing meals, a safe, comforting place to sleep, and access to life changing resources. One of our CoverGirls, mentors her and provides her with useful tools that help in her journey to become independent. Patrice s daughter participates in numerous fun and educational activities hosted by the CoverGirls. Our case managers make sure that Patrice and her daughter have everything they need on a daily basis. Patrice successfully graduated from our program and now is in search of a stable home and a job to be able to continue to provide for her daughter.

For example, a business that donates $300 will receive a radio interview, while a business that donates $750 will receive a radio interview, a Thank You banner at the event, and 1 ticket. *About the Radio Interview Our radio programs receive more than 500,000 listeners. Our programs include Mission Possible: The Good News Program on Sundays at 8:00 AM on News Talk WiOD (610 AM), Life Changers on Saturdays at 9:30 AM on Life: FM 90.9 Miami, and Cambiando Vidas on Sundays at 8:30 AM on Radio Luz (1360 AM).
